In preparation for the Rue island operation, the CCG has formed it's raiding party. Though, they plan to send a significant portion of their might ashore, several powerful squads have remained on the mainland. They moved toward the commencement of their operation with a personnel arrangement designed to leave to openings, on either offense or defense.
As the Rue island operation could take anywhere from one hour to one month, the mainland defense team has been instructed to attend to the protection of all valuable CCG assets, beginning with the Cochlea
On the boat
Tying your [H/C] hair in a [H/L] ponytail, you took a deep breath, the smell of salty water filling your nostrils. Looking at Saiko in the corner of your eye, you saw her concerned expression
"Hey. It's going to be fine" you patted her shoulder
Saiko didn't reply, she gave you a look full of fear and sadness as you were frowning, your [E/C] orbs glowing of determination. You looked at the rest of the team behind your shoulder. They looked kinda terrified as well, but when they felt your eyes were looking at the three teens, they raised their heads, looking at you. You frown grew a little as you nodded, assuring them that it's going to be all right
"Idiots... stop worrying so much" you thought. "It's not the first time and it won't be the last when we go on dangerous operations"

"Forget Suzuya!" Yelled Itsuki Marude in the microphone to the squad leaders and some of the investigators. "Squad 1, reserve half of your troops, and the rest, press onward!! Squad 3, cooperate with the offense!!"
"Urie" calmly called Matsuri Washu through his earpiece. "Cleanse the beach"
"...Understood" replied Urie from the other side. "(Tsk, leftovers... Of course we get to deal with Aogiri's aftermath)"
The six investigators, with their squad leader Urie in front, aproached slowly the masked ghouls. In a second, their affected eye turned into a kakugan, a black sclera and a red iris as little black and red veins popped up under it, activating their ghoul powers
"Exterminate in 5 minutes" ordered Urie, his blade-like kagune covering his right arm. "(I must save Mutsuki)"
"Yes, sir!" The rest of the team, except [Y/N], replied
What was wrong with her?
No one knew
A moment ago, her eyes shined in determination, being a supportive superior for the young investigators and her friend, Saiko. But now?
She looked emotionless...
The others had mixed expression on their faces, a mix between rage and determination. But [Y/N], since they got off the boat, had a neutral look plastered on her face, her eyes that were assuring the kind of scared comrades were now gone, replaced with a pair of dull [E/C] eyes
Getting in a fighting stance, [Y/N] got out her rinkaku, killing the ghouls by taking their hearts out
This is how it went the entire time...
Killing Aogiri reinforcement, beheading them, killing them in the most cruel ways ever, until...

"I'm starting to lose hope" I said, a neutral look plastered on my face
Slowly taking his hands off my shoulders, Kuki looked in my eyes, his mouth slightly opened as he wanted to say something else, going speechless for a while
