Chapter 13: New Start
*1 Year Later*
Astrid POV:
I had just finished packing up the kitchen when Hiccup and the gang walked in. "Hey guys!" I exclaim and tighten up my French braids that hung from my back. They all smiled and piled onto the couch. "So your finally doing this?" Heather says and walks over to me and carried the box over to the door.
"I think it's time for me to have a new start! Freya starts pre-school this August since she's now 4. I got accepted the detectives position at Berk'a Intelligence Unit, and I'm freaked to start!" I squeal and wiped the sweat off my face. They looked at one another and smiled.
"So your finally over it?" Ruffnut says and Hiccup nudged her. I looked down and took off my apron. "Ruff I'm never going to be over it....I'll always love Blake with all my heart, but I need to let him go a bit, and so does Freya. It's what he would want us to do." I smile and pick up the picture of me, Blake, and Freya. I smiled at it and put it into a box.
Freya came out of her room with her new teddy bear, Blake, and gave it to me.
"Mommy mommy! He has a hole!" She wails and rubs her tears away. "Aww baby! I can fix this once we get unpacked at the new house ok!" I say and she nods her head, and I hug my baby girl.
"Why don't you go watch Barbie on the tv while I finish packing up your room and my room?" I say and she was all smiles and ran over to the tv. She sat in Hiccups lap and grabbed the remote. Them two have had a good bond ever since he told her his story a year ago, and they've been the best of friends ever since. He loves to watch her when I go to work, and him and heather have play dates with her all the time. I no longer hate Hiccup anymore because he told me why he left, and now if affected him. We've actually went through a lot while we were apart, and it has brought us closer as friends. I smiled at the sight of the gang and my daughter, and threw the rag on the counter and walked to my room.
I grabbed more boxes and began to pack up my clothes and ready to sell Blake's old clothes. I sighed and put them in the good-will box. "It's a new start Astrid." I sigh and threw my husbands non-wrinkly shirt into a bag.

Hiccup POV:
"BARBIE LIFE IN THE DREAMHOUSE! YEA!" I squeal pretendly to Freya as she dances to the Barbie theme song. I was beyond annoyed with this show by watching now 5 episodes with Freya. "Ok I'm up! I'm helping your mom pack with Uncle Fishlegs!" I exclaim and stand up and rub my legs down. "Ahh but Uncle Hiccy your lap is a comfy pillow!" Freya whines and gives me a begging look with her mothers ocean blue eyes. I cringed and looked at her again. "Fine! But for one more episode or I might die!" I laugh and she giggled. "Ok!" She said and layed her head in my lap again as we watched Barbie.
Fishlegs POV:
"So where are the other boxes?" I ask Astrid, as she puts her hands on her hips, examining her daughters almost empty room. "In the closet!" She says and motions towards it and I walk over and grab the box. "We just need to pack up her clothes and then I'm all packed for the new house!" Astrid squeals and walks over to Freyas closet.
I sit down and fit open the box, and I sighed. "Astrid? Are you really over it?" I ask and she sighs. "Not really, but its...better. I still miss his hugs and kissing him. I miss him coming home and me jumping into his arms and wrapping my legs around his waist. I miss my lazy movie days with him and our wedding day replays in my head. Seeing photos makes it worse, knowing I'm a widow. I miss his food! I miss his hands! I miss his sexy smile and his contagious laugh. I miss him and Freya trying to do my makeup which always turned out TERRIBLE!" She laughs and a tear slid down her cheek. "But, Blake would want me to forgive him for leaving so soon and let Odin lead me down a new start. It's what he would want, and I know it's what I need," Astrid grins and looks at me. "I know it's hard, Astrid, but just remember that we are all here for you, I'm here for you!" I comfort her and she nods. I shake it off and look at the closet. "Now why does Freya have so many clothes?!" I groan and Astrid laughs, which hasn't happened in a long time.
