Why is it that humans always do what they're told not to do?

Maybe it's the curiosity of the human mind.

It's not a bad thing, but it's not good either.

You know that phrase, curiosity killed the cat?

Well, they're not wrong.
Maybe the people that die first in horror movies, isn't because they're dumb, but because they're curious.

Heavily curious.

Curious enough to find where the sound is coming from. To investigate the foot prints.
Minus a few exceptions, like tripping while running.

That's just dumb.

Even in real life scenarios, curiosity tags along behind us.

"Don't turn around."
"Don't move."
"Don't make a sound."

& what do we do?

We do it anyways.

But the one thing that comes along with curiosity, is adventure.
& In some scenarios trouble, but mostly adventure.

The next day of the week was Wednesday.

Oh Wednesday.

The middle of the week.

Not to far away from the weekend, but close enough to where the week started.

Or the day that I didn't talk to you.

Kinda.

Even though the night before was aching, & the next morning was too, it was an eye opener.

Not everyone is gonna support you & not everyone is gonna accept you.

& that's okay.

I remember that whole day consisted of me crying & finishing my recreation of The Starry Night.

From 2-8, I felt like everything from earlier in the week had reset.

I didn't talk to you because I knew you'd try to help me.

Even though I wanted to reply, I couldn't because I knew the only thing that would happen was us getting closer, & our time together was lessening.

Day by day, literally.

You spammed me, every hour or so.

Even though I lacked curiosity in general, I was still human.

Even I had curiosity.

No matter how much you think you lack curiosity.

You still have it.

& that meant by 9 I was tired.

Tired of ignoring you, & the curiosity of why you cared so much was building up.

So,

I texted you back.

& I don't regret it.

- Flashback -

There goes the ringer again.

How many times is he gonna text me?

The whole day was me recreating the painting from Monday (after getting distracted) & watching the show "A love so beautiful."

I took 2 years of Chinese & I still can't anything besides "hello" & "Thank you."

At least I got my credits.

I debated for a few minutes if I should answer.
