• Welcome to GIROMA! I inspired myself from French/German/English traditions and customs for this country, with a bit of Russian & other eastern countries, too. (FYI Totresia was more French/English/Spanish/Italian) Kind of a more mountain-like/gruff type here, though luxurious as heck.
• Here is their sigil/coat of arms:
• Capital city is WESTTEN. The city itself is fairly massive, and since it's in the middle of the country, many citizens flock to it at one point or another. The Westten Castle is on a huge cliff called Westten Cliff, towering over the city below. The "Entry Bridge" to the castle splits the city in two—the West Side ("poorer" side of town, where the regular folk and less than fortunate live) and the East Side (upper-class, lower and higher nobility). Two giant staircases lead up to the castle (near the cliff), but one can also enter from the beginning of the bridge (it's kind of a slope) at the entry of the city—but it's one heck of a long walk if you're coming that way. Not that the stairs are any better—they're super steep and only the bravest attempt to climb them. Most nobles just hop on a carriage and travel to court from the start of the bridge. (see pictures below & floor-plan for better visualization)
• What are secret entries and secret trails, you ask? Well, they'll have some importance later in the story AND in book five! Keep an eye out for them!
