~ Soulmate AU ~ You cannot see the colour of your soulmate's eyes. For example, if your soulmate had blue eyes, you wouldn't be able to see the colour blue until you had met your soulmate and so on.

It was a Sunday morning, the day of the week where you would simply stay in your apartment and have a relaxing day in and not worry about anything. A day where you had time to yourself and would be able to sit around under a warm blanket all day, watching a movie or reading a book or online shopping.
It was heavily raining outside, a storm peaking just around the corner but despite the harsh and cold weather, you desperately wanted a warm drink from the coffee shop a few minutes away.
After several debates with yourself whether to stay in the warmth of your apartment or not, you decided against it and settled with taking a walk to the coffee shop to get a hot drink for the cold weather, so you grabbed your umbrella and quickly left.
The streets were near enough empty, barely anybody walking around and barely even any cars driving by, which was probably for the better to avoid getting splashed by a big puddle on the side of the road.
You were used to the dull colour of grey, that boring colour covering most things in your everyday life. A close friend had described the colour you could not yet see to be brown but you didn't have any ideas on what the colour actually looked like. You desperately wanted to meet your soulmate just so you could see that new colour for the first time.
When arriving at the coffee shop, you pushed down your hood and umbrella and went to the counter, ordering a hot drink to take home with you.
When the drink had been served you thanked the worker and left the shop. The cup was grey but was supposed to be brown, but you were yet to see that colour. You went back into the rain that seemed to have worsened since you first arrived, pouring heavier, and following was the flash of thunder.
You quickly ushered back home, scolding yourself for leaving when the weather was bad but you then stopped when feeling the warmth of the cup being felt on your cold hands and the sweet smell entering your nose.
Finally arriving back at your apartment building, you climbed the stairs rather than taking the elevator, thinking it would be quicker and better for you, but regretted it when reaching your floor which was near the top.
You began walking down the long corridor, the warmth of the building already warming you up, and soon following after the warm drink you carried burning your skin.
You had accidentally bumped into someone who was leaving the elevator you were passing, your drink spilling over you and the drops burning your skin as you let out a sharp breath. You looked down at yourself, your clothes stained but also noticed the person you had bumped into had dropped a box full of small housing decorations.
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see anyone leaving the elevator," you apologised first, sparing him a quick glance and then bent down to help pick his belongings up.
He also bent down, placing the things back in the box and putting it aside.
"Are you okay? That sounded like it hurt," he asked sweetly, helping you up when all of his belongings were back in the box.
You looked up at him, about to answer him a small 'yes' and another apology, but paused and stared at his eyes. They were a dark colour, black near enough but they definitely weren't black. They were a colour that you had never witnessed before. His eyes were gorgeous!
He, too looked down, staring into your eyes and was taken aback by the sudden new colour he was seeing.
"Your eyes are pretty," you said accidentally, your thoughts coming out into words as your cheeks turned a light shade of red, but you continued staring at his eyes.
They were definitely brown, the only colour you hadn't been able to see. It was a dark shade that was a colour most people would find boring, but you were speechless when seeing it. His eyes were pretty and soft, and they seemed to sparkle along with the dark colour that you were already in love with.
You then looked away when realising you had been staring for far too long, taking a glance at your coffee cup that was spilt on the floor. The cup was no longer grey, in fact, it was brown and so was the box he had dropped, and you smiled widely when looking back up at him.
"Do you see it, too?" you asked him, and he smiled widely in response.
"Your eyes," he mumbled as his smile grew. "I've never seen that colour before," he spoke quietly, looking at his surroundings and taking in the new colour.
You both laughed out of shyness and awkwardness, still stunned by the new colours that had been brought into your world.
"I'm (y/n)," you finally introduced, holding a hand out as he shook it gently.
"Yunho. I've just moved in here," he said as his eyes were still locked on to yours.
You had both just met your soulmate. You felt slightly awkward, knowing it would be the person you would become close with and possibly even spend your life with. He definitely was handsome, though.
"Do you need help moving anything?" you offered him kindly.
"There's not a lot left, I've got it but thank you," he smiled and picked the box up. "You should go and change, that drink looked like it burned."
You smiled at his kindness, feeling lucky to have bumped into him. Maybe going to the coffee shop wasn't such a bad idea, after all.
"Yeah, I will. I - I'd like to maybe spend some time together though. When the weather clears up," you shyly said, your cheeks once again going against you and heating up.
"I'd like that, too. My apartment is the one at the very end of the corridor on the left."
"I'm at the very back, too. Should we walk together?" You asked, and he nodded as you began walking.
When reaching your apartment, you smiled as he unlocked his apartment that was conveniently opposite yours.
"Here's my number, if you want it," he said, handing you a piece of paper with a number written down on it. "I owe you a drink, anyway, so maybe we could go to the coffee shop sometime."
You nodded and smiled at him, taking one last look at his pretty eyes before he waved goodbye and went into his apartment.
