Issues could be discussed an endless amount of times, but whether or not those issues were resolved was what really mattered. It didn't matter if a problem was confronted day after day, but it mattered if that issue wasn't dealt with.
Everybody encountered problems and everybody had imperfections, yet some people let them remain rather than disappear, which truthfully, wasn't the best option.
Your relationship — after discussing the problem with no communication — had improved greatly. There was more communication and there was more time spent together. You began being able to sleep with Yeosang securing you in his arms and you began to spend your mornings eating breakfast with him and watching morning TV shows while sitting next to him.
Of course, there were minor issues but that didn't bother you much because they didn't change much. Both of you still worked for hours but there was the weekends and the evenings you got to spend together again.
The last major issue standing, was that there were pictures, news articles, videos of Yeosang with another girl, young and pretty, and he was smiling and laughing.
Yes, he was allowed to know and talk to other people, he was allowed to have other friends but there was something in those pictures that made you feel like she wasn't just a friend. The way he smiled at her, the way he looked at her and the way he laughed with her.
Maybe, just maybe, you were a little jealous, but you felt angry more than anything. Even more so, he had lied to you about his whereabouts, when you were sitting at home, seeing pictures and videos of their little meet-ups.
He was well aware there were videos, pictures and all that across social media and he was well aware you were seeing those videos and pictures, but never bothered talking about it.
He knew your relationship wasn't doing too well in terms of past issues and then him meeting up with another girl, which was a reason he never mentioned it. He was foolish to keep quiet, knowing you were more than likely getting the wrong impression.
What you didn't know, was that the girl wasn't some girl who's a good friend of Yeosang's and she wasn't some girl that he would kill to spend time with. He would much rather spend time with you. In fact, that girl was simply using him.
She wanted publicity, people to notice her and she did so by hanging around Yeosang. He wasn't completely oblivious to her little, sly plan and even if he was, he was unhappy around her, not liking her behaviours, but he couldn't bring himself to leave her. He wasn't that cold-hearted despite her careless actions of using him.
When he smiled around her, those smiles weren't real, they weren't genuine. His laughs were fake, not really finding much humour in the girl. He didn't enjoy spending time with her one bit, and he knew it didn't make much sense to keep speaking with her, but he felt trapped, afraid to forget about her for an unknown reason.
His behaviours became even worse every time he saw her, glaring at her and trying to make excuses to go home and see you, but none of them worked. He had had enough, he had so much on his chest he needed to get off and decided to talk to you about it, unable to keep hiding the truth from you.
You lay down on your bed, laptop resting on your knees as you watched a movie peacefully, and then Yeosang entered the room and offered you a soft, sweet yet uneasy smile. You could read him like a book, instantly knowing he was going to tell you something serious.
You shut the laptop, putting it aside and crossed your legs, patting the empty space next to you. He sat down opposite you, taking a quiet breath in, then looking up at you as you impatiently waited for him to talk.
"I know you're mad at me and have been," he began admittedly, frowning a little. "About that girl. I just want you to know that she means nothing to me and there's absolutely nothing going on," he told you seriously, only then feeling the harsh impact of his actions.
You didn't reply to his sudden confession, and instead sat there feeling a little nervous as to what would come next.
"She's just some fan who wants publicity. She doesn't mean anything to me," he then spoke up again.
"Then why are you still seeing her?" You questioned him.
"Believe me, I don't want to see her anymore. I don't know why I'm still seeing her, I feel I cant just leave her," he admitted. He wasn't scared of the girl, he was far from, he just felt trapped with her.
"Yes, you can. If she really doesn't mean anything to you," you said, a small amount of anger bubbling up.
It was then his turn to be silent.
"Tell her you can't see her anymore, because sticking with her doesn't give me a good impression. If you really cared about me and want this to work you need to sort it out, because otherwise this won't work. She's not good for you if she's using you and you clearly don't like her, so tell her you can't see her anymore," you said to him and stood up, walking towards the bedroom door and opening it.
"Don't screw this up. You know I care about you but it doesn't look good for you, hanging around her and not wanting to leave her," you said one last time and closed the door behind you.
He sat for a moment, thinking to himself. He really did need to stop seeing her, his relationship was on the line and he was so close to losing you, and that's something he couldn't bare to think about. After deciding to see her the following day, he left the bedroom and went to find you.
You stood at the sink, scrubbing the plates and cutlery clean as a way to distract yourself. Tears were brimming your eyes but you quickly wiped them away when hearing Yeosang behind you.
His arms wrapped are your waist, his head resting against your back as he muffled another apology. You turned the tap off, resting your hands on top of his. You could never hate him, no matter what he did.
"I'm seeing her tomorrow. For the last time," he told you as he tightened his grip a little, and you softly sighing in relief. "I'm sorry. I've been stupid," he said and you smiled at his small comment.
"You have," you said and unwrapped his arms from your waist, turning around and hugging him. "Promise me that things like this will stop happening. So much has happened to us and I don't want to lose you, so promise me no more misunderstandings, no more fights. And if something is going on, we tell each other. Promise me?"
He pulled away from your warm hug, looking down at you a little and holding his pinky finger out. "I promise you. I mean it this time," he smiled as you intertwined your pinky fingers, then your hands as he softly kissed your forehead.
