Ever since your argument with Wooyoung, your mind had been occupied. You knew it was wrong of you to get mad at him when all he was trying to do was help you, but you didn't want to believe your own boyfriend was dating somebody else behind your back. Even after your argument, you didn't believe (b/f/n) would do such a thing, and continued your relationship like normal and avoided Wooyoung like the plague, even though he'd done nothing wrong.

As time passed, however, you did begin to miss Wooyoung. You missed his smile and his laugh, and the way he would make you laugh, too. You missed how he would always go out of his way to ensure you were happy, and how he always put himself before you, because after you thought about it, that was more than (b/f/n) ever did for you.

Maybe you were oblivious to (b/f/n)'s real side, and that in fact, he never did really love you and that Wooyoung really wasn't lying to you. Deciding you valued your friendship with Wooyoung more than nearly everything, you kept a close eye on (b/f/n). His behaviour, how he acted towards you, and sometimes headed out the same time as him to make sure he wasn't seeing somebody else behind your back.

When you began paying close attention to his behaviour and actions, it hit you like a brick the something was going on. You knew well enough what a healthy relationship looked like, and yours didn't come close. But you had simply loved (b/f/n) too much to realise it.

Once, he had told you that he was going out for a bit, and you grew suspicious so followed him, and were heartbroken to see him with another girl, holding hands as he laughed away with her. That's when you knew that you needed to break up with him, because you were the only one in love.

You broke up with him that same day, not telling him you saw him with somebody else, but that you simply didn't feel loved and the relationship as a whole didn't feel good enough.

The thing that shocked you though, was that he didn't even seem phased by your sudden confession. He wasn't mad, he wasn't upset, he just said that he respected your decision and it was unfortunate. So clearly, he never did love you.

You stayed by yourself for weeks, too humiliated to see Wooyoung and too upset over your breakup to see anyone in general, but you knew that you owed Wooyoung an apology. You felt like a fool for not believing him and for shouting at him. He was your best friend though, and you needed to apologise whether you liked it or not.

After getting yourself ready, you left your house and walked to Wooyoung's, running through what you were going to say to him in your head over and over and over again.

Time seemed to pass too quickly when you were constantly having a conversation in your head and thinking of all worst case scenarios, as you arrived outside Wooyoung's front door without even realising you were there.

You let out a shaky breathe before knocking on the door lightly, nervously waiting for an answer. Then, the door opened, revealing Wooyoung, whose eyes widened when seeing who was standing at his front door.

"You were right," you said to him, quickly looking to your feet to avoid his gaze, "and I'm sorry I didn't believe you."

He looked at you, eyebrows knitted together. He wasn't sure what to say to you. He was still upset and even a little annoyed, but he understood your view. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around you and rested his head on top of yours. "You don't need to apologise."

You nuzzled your head against his chest as you quietly sighed, mirroring his actions and wrapping your arms around his waist. "I should've listened to you. I saw him with some other girl."

"Why don't you come in? It's cold out here," he said as he pulled away, stepping aside and letting you inside the warmth. Once inside, you sat down as Wooyoung walked over to you, then sitting down next to you.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly.

"I'm such an idiot," you muttered as your head fell against his shoulder. "I should've known something was going on with him. You even told me but I refused to believe you, and now I feel like an idiot. You were right the whole time and I was ignorant."

"Don't say that," he began, "It isn't your fault. He's the one who kept lying to you."

"I know. But that doesn't excuse me not believing you and getting mad."

"Maybe it doesn't, but it doesn't matter now. You're not with him anymore and you're not in love with someone who doesn't value you enough as they should."

You nodded slowly, listening to his voice intently. "Thank you," you said quietly, truly thankful.

"There's no need to thank me," he said calmly, and kissing your head softly, taking you completely by surprise. "You really deserve somebody who won't mess around and play with your feelings and really loves you."

Your heart fluttered at his words and actions, and it was then that you realised, it really was Wooyoung who had loved you all along.
