My momma was gone with Dana to a doctors appointment and Elena was sleeping in for the day so I was technically home alone. Kentrell was still locked up and although I've been missing him like crazy, it feels good to be able to hear his voice sometimes even if it is for a few minutes.
"Are you fucking serious right now!" I could hear Makayla, Judah's babymomma yell from next door as I sat outside on the porch. As I looked over next door I could see is door swing open and she stormed out of the house. Not too long after Judah followed behind her
"Kayla chill out"
She stopped walking and quickly turned to face him "you want me to chill out after you just told me some foul shit like that!? Hell no! Fuck that! Better hope shit work out with your new Babymomma cause I'm DONE!"
Judah sighed and she headed to her car without saying another word. After a few moments she backed out of his driveway and sped off, leaving him there in the yard by himself
Judah cursed himself and threw his hands up on his head then looked over at me. It's been about a few weeks since I've actually seen Judah, even though we live right beside each other. It's like he kind of disappeared on me for some reason
"Well hey stranger" I said with a wave and he chuckled, walking over to the fence so I got up and did the same
"Wassup Brooks. How you been?"
"I'm living"
"True... I heard about yo' boy. I'm sorry about that-"
"It's nothing to be sorry about. Kentrell gone be out soon" I immediately responded while waving him off "but enough on me. I would ask how you're doing but from what I saw just now... it's not too good"
"Not at all" he sighed and ran his hand over his face
"What's wrong?"
"Last month I found out this girl I had a one night stand with a while ago is pregnant.. you probably know her cause she go to school witchu, her name is Jamie"
When he said Jamie's name my eyes nearly popped. Judah was Jamie's baby daddy!?
"You're Jamie's babydaddy?"
He nodded and I breathed deeply
"Oh lord"
"What?" He asked while furrowing his brows and I shook my head
"Nothing, it's just......surprising"
"You right. Well while I was still tryina find a way to break the news to Makayla, Jamie's bald headed friend Daejah decided to tell her first"
I rolled my eyes at the sound of Daejah's name. I really wanted to beat her ass again so bad for getting Kentrell arrested but the right times gonna come around so I'll just wait patiently
"That bitch just don't know how to mind her business"
"Forreal. But you know what, I ain even gone stress it. Kayla gone come back around soon" Judah shrugged and I laughed while shaking my head
"You sounding real confident knowing you fucked up big time"
"This ain't nothin new. Trust me"
I rested both of my arms on the fence and looked him in the face "but a whole baby Judah. That's way different"
He sighed and nodded "I know. I'm just tryina keep some kinda faith"
"Well you better start praying... hard!"
"You right. I might need to go ahead and start doing that now"
"Yeah you go do that. And stop being a stranger, I miss taking to you"
He ran his hands over his hair and chuckled softly "I apologize for that, but I just had to back off for my own personal reasons"
"What's the reason?"
Judah hesitated for a while before answering
"To be honest, I started falling for you.. and that's not good for the both of us"
After Judah told me that he walked off, going back to his house. I pursed my lips together and let out a breath before walking over to the porch again.

"Damn Noel. Whatchu doin' that got these niggas falling in love" Elena asked me as I laid on her bed beside her. I told her about my conversation with Judah and mostly about the part that he said he started falling for me. I sighed and shrugged
"I don't know but I guess that's just another guy I can't talk to"
"Well at least Judah got common sense and stopped himself from getting what trey got"
"Speaking of that. Tell me why people from back home keep snapping me about him. I don't care about him nor do I have the time to; all I'm focused on his Kentrell getting out of jail"
"Hopefully he'll be out soon. It is kinda weird without Kentrell around being rude"
"He's not rude. Kentrell is just real blunt"
"Of course he ain't rude to you. That's your nigga so he's gonna be nice to you"
I looked at her some type of way as I sat up "who lied to you"
We both started laughing and I could hear the door in the living room open. Soon after, the sounds of my momma and Dana filled the house
"Noel! Elena!"
"We in here" the both of us said in unison, obviously not in the mood to get up and we could hear them talking about us, calling us lazy, as they made their way into the room.
Dana wore a smile on her face, a very rare sight, along with ultrasound pictures in her hands
"How did the appointment go?" Elena asked them
"It was the same as usual, except we got to find out the sex of the baby"
"Forreal!?" I asked excited, hitting Elena a little. I hopped off her bed and went over to dana. I grabbed the ultrasound pictures and took a look at them. There was white writing on one of the pictures so I immediately read it
It's A Boy!
"I knew it was a boy!" I nearly yelled, smiling from ear to ear then crouched down to Dana's stomach "Auntie loves you already baby boy. I gotta tell Kentrell about this next time I talk to him"
"For him to start planning on ways to corrupt my child once he's born" Dana said and Elena agreed with her
"I swear! He don't even have to plan, it comes naturally"
"Listen y'all ain't about to come for him. Especially since he ain't here to defend himself" I defended Kentrell and looked at Elena "besides you can't talk when you date somebody like Kd"
"My man is special in his own way, leave him alone" she frowned while rolling her eyes and my momma arched her eyebrow up
"Yeah that Kd is something EXTRA special. But I can tell y'all one thing. Neither of them got anything on my man Derek" she boasted with a flip of her hair and walked outta the room
"Oop" Elena said as she burst out laughing and both Dana and I looked at her some type of way while she headed down the hall then we looked at each other
