Noel

Saturday, May 26

"I can't believe we graduate in exactly a week" Elena practically yelled as she walked through the living room to go down the hall. I was laid up under Kentrell on the chair in the living room watching Liyah's graduation from my phone on the school's website. As they walked out, ending the ceremony I wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled

"I know you ain't cryin" Kentrell said as he looked down at me and I smacked my lips

"My best friend just graduated"

"You so damn emotional"

"Shut up. I know you better shed a tear or something at my graduation"

"I ain shedding shit" he muttered and I made a face before looking back down at my phone. I exited the video and locked my phone, seeing Dana wobble into the living room with a basket of clothes

"Dana you fat as hell" Kentrell told her and she stopped walking just to glare at him

"You gotta house, go to it"

"And you gotta room. Wobble yo ass to it"

"You lucky I gotta finish this room before I have to hear momma mouth" she responded as she headed down the hall, sticking her middle finger up and he started laughing

"What wrong with her room?" Kentrell asked me

"Momma got her germ proofing it for when the baby comes"

"The baby? She still ain't name that baby yet?"

I shook my head and he started laughing again

"Now that you finished watching yo lil video you ready to go?"

I nodded and sat up off of him. I was gonna stay the weekend with Kentrell and probably all of this week too since I no longer had school. He gave me two of his drawers to put my clothes in, half of his closet and he brought me some hygiene products to keep over there when I stay the night

"Let's go so I can take my midday nap" I told him as I slapped his leg and got up

"You ain takin no nap. Ima keep yo ass up"

I frowned and headed out of the door, going to his car. We got inside and headed down the road en route to his house. I turned the radio up a little and sat back in the chair, however my phone started ringing which made me turn it right back down and I answered it seeing that it was a FaceTime call from liyah.

"You get on my nerves when you do that shit" Kentrell mumbled while smacking his lips and I rolled my eyes. I waited for the call to connect and not too much later Liyah's face popped onto the screen. She wore a smile and her diploma in her hand

"Bitch I graduatedddddd" she yelled into the camera and I smiled

"I saw the ceremony. I'm so proud of you right now"

"Lil crybaby" Kentrell muttered and I looked over at him, making a face then looked back into the camera

"Anyways Whatchu doing next? You figured out which school you going to?"

She smiled mischievously into the camera "actually I have..."

"Andddd?"

"I'm coming down there to Baton Rouge for school"

"Forreal!?" I yelled, sitting all the way up

"Oh hell" Kentrell groaned while shaking his head "tell her to stay her ass in Arizona"

"Kentrell shut up" liyah yelled through the phone and I couldn't stop smiling

"My best friend is about to be out here in the fall. It's about to be a MOVIEEEE"

"Actually Ill be out there a lot sooner"

"Sooner like when?" I asked her, raising my eyebrow and she smiled

"You'll find out. But for now I'll talk to you later. This robe is hot as hell and I still gotta go find the rest of my people"

"Okay. Just call me later"

"Alright" she responded before hanging up. I sat my phone down on my lap and smiled at Kentrell

"My best friend is moving out here"

"I heard"

"You know how happy I am?"

"You know how much raid ima have to buy"

I smacked my lips and slapped his shoulder while he laughed

"Well now that you know where she going, do you know where YOU going for school?"

I sighed and scratched my head. Kentrell's been pushing me about this college thing and I honestly wasn't feeling it. My grandma dying really fucked up my motivation so now I'm just like fuck it

"Kentrell we had this discussion multiple times.."

"And we gone keep having it until you tell me something I'd like to hear" he finished my sentence. I rolled my eyes and looked out the window while he grabbed my hand "Noel, you know I personally don't give a fuck about school but I want you to go cause I know you got the potential. Keep making yo grandma proud. Don't give up now"

"I just don't wanna go off to schoo-"

"Hell nah that ain't happening. You staying local shawty"

I laughed and looked over at him "I already knew that was coming. But I don't know, I might just stick to online classes or something then. Until I get the motivation to actually go to classes"

"That's a lot better than nothing"

I nodded, agreeing with him. Kentrell pulled into the gas station and parked at one of the pumps at the front then looked over at me

"You want some outta the store?"

"Yeah. Get me a v8 splash tropical blend"

Kentrell looked at me confused and I shook my head

"Never mind. I'll just get out too"

He shrugged and we both got out. He followed behind me in the store and I went straight to the cooler to grab the drink I wanted while Kentrell went to the other side of the store to grab some chips. I reached up to grab the drink off of the top shelf, however I was kind of on the short side so it was impossible. I heard a chuckle and a hand reached up to grab it for me

"Here you go shawty"

I turned to face the guy and saw he had a smirk on his face.

"Thank you" I plainly spoke as I grabbed the drink from him and tried to walk off but he grabbed my arm

"Say, you still with Yb?"

"If you love your life I'd suggest you let go of me" I told him in a serious voice. He let go of my arm and chuckled

"Ima take that as a yes but when y'all break up hit me up"

I rolled my eyes and Kentrell made his way around the corner, glaring at the boy

"Lets go" I told him as I grabbed his hand and walked off to the register. The cashier at the register looked up from her phone and when I saw that it was Daejah, I mentally rolled my eyes. She glanced at Kentrell and I then snatched our stuff, ringing it up

"Snatch my shit like that" I could hear Kentrell say so I nudged him in his side and watched her place it back on the counter

"4.38" she told us with an attitude and Kentrell threw a five on the counter, grabbed the stuff and walked out of the store so I walked out behind him laughing just a little
