The sunlight weeved its way through the white satin curtains, caressing Peter's face in an almost loving manner.

(y/n)'s (e/c) eyes fluttered open, a yawn escaping her lips. She blinked the sleepiness away, before being met with a sight that made her heart flutter.

Peter slept peacefully beside her, one arm underneath his pillow, and the other resting carelessly over her waist.

He looked so peaceful. All the stress and pain disappeared from his stunning features. He always looked happy around (y/n), but even then the weight of being a werewolf in Beacon Hills had been evident... to her anyway.

She smiled to herself. A small smile graced his lips as he slept, the sunlight making him look like an angel. He might as well be, that man was gorgeous. That man was hers.

She was used to people constantly praising her on changing him, and she hated it. She didn't change him. She just knocked down the walls the Hales tend to build for themselves to prevent anyone from seeing them vulnerable. She brought out the best in him, he was already a good man. There was just a lot of hatred, guilt and pain that clouded his judgment.

He had no one left. He would have to live the rest of his life knowing that he couldn't save his own family. And so he filled that empty hole with the only thing he had left - money. The cars, his several mansions he'd constantly add modifications to - it was to fill a hole he thought could never be filled.

He turned cold, burying his pain beneath layers of snark, narcissism and started acting like he didn't care. But he did care, too much in fact. And so the more he tried to conceal his pain, the more he convinced himself he was a person he wasn't.

(y/n) reminded him of who he used to be. With her damn persistence, charm and equally matched sarcastic attitude, she broke the barriers. And she fell in love with what she found.

She graced her hand gently over his cheek, smiling as he nuzzled into her touch, his soft blue eyes fluttering open.

"Hey," he said in his sexy raspy morning voice. Gosh she'd never get tired of that. "Morning handsome," (y/n) replied. "Like what you see?" "mmmh you know I do."

He blushed and pulled her completely to him, arms wrapping protectively around her, face nuzzled into her hair as she giggled. Gods he'd never get tired of hearing that.

No more words were exchanged, for there wasn't need for such a thing. All the words that could never possibly be conveyed verbally were shown through the gentle touches and loving kisses they shared.

It was mornings like today that they were both so grateful for. Knowing that despite all the chaos of their daily lives, they could still find peace and love in each other. They could still find home.
