I walked into the house door and groaned as I threw my bag on the couch. "May, why can't you just get it through your head that you need to stay in school?" I turned on my heel to face Colden and I prayed for strength. "Please, just, leave me alone Colden." If there was ever a moment to blow up in Colden's face, it was now. "I'll leave you alone when you stay in school. I know you hate it, but you need it." I lost it. I couldn't take it anymore. "I try to stay in school, but I can't with Misty there. She always does something and blames it on me. She pushes me over the edge and I can't stop myself." I took a deep breath and sat on the couch. Colden sighed and looked down at me before sitting next to me. "Just because she gets on your nerves doesn't mean you should slap her." The next thing I saw was Colden was looking in the other direction and his jaw was hanging open. My hand was in the air and it all suddenly came to me. "Colden..." Colden looked over at me and I saw the pain in his eyes. "May just...just go." I stood up quickly and stared at Colden before looking around the room. "I...I don't understand." Colden stood up and stared down at me, his eyes an icy blue. "Get out of here. Is that too hard to understand?" I looked up at the man who had raised me, the man who was my brother, the man who was telling me to leave. "Colden, please." Colden raised a hand and looked away. "You're a danger to this family and to yourself. I think it's best you try to find other people that can help you." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. About that time the rest of the boys walked into the house. They took one look at Colden and me and knew what was happening. "Colden, you can't do this." Scott started to walk over to me, but Colden grabbed his arm. "Colden she's my sister. I'm not letting her leave." I felt tears prick my eyes, but whether they were tears of sadness or anger, I didn't know. I smiled through the pain and stared into Scott's baby blue eyes. "It's okay Scooter. I'll be back. I promise." I turned to walk up the stairs and shut the door to my room behind me. I sat on my bed and looked around at my room until my eyes landed on the mirror. I looked weak and vulnerable. I cringed and glared at my reflection. I gasped as the world drained of all color and I was left in a gray world.

I looked around, hearing sobs and screams. I looked back at the mirror only to see myself, but it was a much scarier version of me. This girl had lavender hair and dark clothes. Her shoulders shook with sobs and she kept her face in her hands. Slowly I stood up and walked to the mirror. As if on cue, the girl raised her head and I jumped at her appearance. Tears streamed down her face, leaving her eyes puffy and red, but instead of a frown, she had a smile. The girl in the mirror stood and walked close to me. I held my breath and stared at her, creepy smile and all. "Don't let the color deceive you. It will end all of your happiness. It will end you." Laughter emerged into the room and I watched as the girl in the mirror slowly raised a knife. She laughed harder as she held it to her throat. "No!" It was too late. She dragged it across her throat and fell to the floor.

I gasped and looked around my room. Everything was as it was earlier. There was no purple haired girl or knife. It was dark though and I began to panic. "Hunter?" A quiet meow rang out and a figure jumped on my bed. "What's the matter May?" I grabbed the small ball of fluff and held him to my chest. "Colden's kicking me out." That's when I noticed something was laying next to me. "No, he's not. I talked him out of it." I whipped my head in the direction of the voice and held my breath. "It's okay flower. It's just me." I watched Scott sit up and I sighed in relief. "What are you doing in here?" I couldn't help but panic a little as I saw Scott wasn't wearing a shirt. "You came up here and after I convinced Colden to let you stay I checked on you. Scared me half to death. Your eyes were glazed over and you were laying on the floor. We all thought you were dying." I stared at Scott's toned stomach, suddenly entranced with no chance of escape. "May, you okay?" I looked up and smiled nervously as my cheeks heated up. I felt like a different person as I stared into Scott's baby blue eyes. I couldn't stop myself from gazing at his lips every so often. "Scott did you ever...did..." I couldn't finish the sentence and turned my face away from him in embarrassment. Scott placed his hand on my cheek and turned my face back to him. "Did I ever what?" I took a deep breath and looked him in the eyes. "Did you ever like me?" My question was answered as Scott pressed his lips to mine.
