Todoroki opened the door, and was met with the face of an out-of-breath Midoriya.
"Hey, Todoroki!" he huffed. "So, I was wondering if you could help me with something?"
"Is it about you and Uraraka?" Todoroki deadpanned.
"WHAT?!" Izuku screamed in shock. When he saw Tokoyami, who had been innocently strolling down the hallway, turn his head (probably out of annoyance), he lowered his voice to a whisper and went into Todoroki's dorm-room. "How did you know?"
"Well, you've liked her for a while now, right? Since the beginning of the school year?"
"HOLY WHOA, HAVE I BEEN THAT OBVIOUS THIS WHOLE TIME?!" Midoriya realized he was yelling again, slapped his hands over his mouth, and continued in a muffled voice. "Have I been that obvious? I thought I was being secretive...but if Todoroki has known this whole time what if All Might knows and-"
"I am very observant. So I'm guessing no one else knows." Todoroki cut him off before Deku dove into one of his famous Midoriya Mutter Sessions™, and continued with a sigh. "Well, what do you need? I was in the middle of something..." he indiscreetly threw a pillow on top of a suspicious letter Izuku guessed Shouto had been writing.
But before the pillow landed, Midoriya caught a glance at the top of the paper. It was addressed to Yaoyorozu... (A/N: ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) hm I wonder what soulmates AU will be next...)
"Oh! Right." Midoriya got back on track. "Well, me and Uraraka are secretly...dating. We're actually soulmates. It was amazing seeing color for the first time! But anyway, we haven't been on an actual date yet, so we decided to go on one today at 4. We're going to some food stalls and then a movie, and I...need an opinion. Is this outfit stupid looking? I want it to be perfect for her."
Todoroki looked him up and down as Deku awkwardly stood there. He didn't know what to do with himself when he was being stared at.
The tension grew as Shouto contemplated Izuku's outfit, a t-shirt with the words "flannel shirt" printed on it, tan cargo shorts, and his signature red sneakers.
Finally after two whole minutes of silence, Deku's icy-hot friend gave his opinion.
"Well, I'm guessing it's a casual sort of date, right? I think it looks fine."
Izuku wondered why he had taken so long to come to such a simple conclusion, but his mouth melted into a grin nonetheless.
"Thanks so much Todoroki!" he replied, already on his way out the door. "And thanks for keeping this a secret!"

Meanwhile, Ochaco sat in her dorm, staring at her wallet.
She had spent all of her savings over the past weekend, and to be quite frank, she was broke. Even more so than before.
Tears welled in her eyes. Am I going to have to cancel?
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "It's okay! It'll be fine. I'll just...eat light!" she glanced back down at the wallet. "As in, one dollar light!" Uraraka chuckled to herself sadly.
She popped a breath mint in her mouth and jumped up to look in her mirror. She was wearing a yellow tee, a pair of shorts and leggings underneath. She also decided to change things up from her regular look and pulled her hair into a bun. At least I look somewhat decent...
Ochaco turned her attention to the time. 3:50 already? Ok, let's go then.
Her heart fluttered as she grabbed be purse, and she whispered, "why am I so nervous?"
___
In the bathroom, Deku washed his face, brushed his teeth, and looked in the mirror.
"Okay, you've got this," he pumped himself up. "No need to be nervous."
"Who are you talking to Midoriya?" Mineta questioned, standing on a stool while using the urinal.
"Oh, uh, no one!" he replied, and sped out of the bathroom.
He grabbed his wallet, which had plenty of money for the two of them--there was no way he was gonna let his girl pay for her own meal--and sped out the door to their meeting spot.
A/N: Sorry for the somewhat short chapter! I wasn't sure how to elongate this one since not much goes on, so I just didn't. Next chapter will be very lengthy and have a TON of IzuOcha action, however! Stay tuned!
