You ran and ran as you saw a "dead end"

You step your right foot on the wall and then the other. Then pulled out a long rope with a giant hook at the end of it. You tossed the end of the rope over the thick wall. The hook made it on the other side of the wall.

So you quickly climbed up before they could even reach you.

This was the dead end for them

You got on top of the wall.

"GET HER YOU IDIOTS!"

As you got down, you saw a vast desert.
