Fergie's Point of View

Practice was grueling—per usual. I can't think of anything I want to do more than go home and take a shower. I have a passion for football, but it can be tiring sometimes. I just want to take a shower and a long ass nap. Maybe I'll convince Tatianna to come over and we can nap together. She hasn't been over my house in a while. We have finished renovating, so I haven't been going over their house after school. I'd like to respect their parents' rules. When I say I'm all in, I'm all in. Devin thinks this is just some game to me. I don't intend on playing with Tatianna's feelings. If anything, I see her in my future and not just as my best friend's sister.

As the team make their way to the locker rooms, a few of my teammates stay back on the field—including Devin and myself. They start talking about homecoming and I smile to myself. I imagine Tatianna in a dress that showcases her figure. I don't mean to brag, but she is gorgeous and she is my date. I already won.

"I'm going with Mandy." Owen smirks.

"Mandy, Mandy?" Jake raises his eyebrows.

"Yeah." Owen nods his head. "I'm smashing. No doubt about it."

"Bro, she a hoe." Devin shakes his head.

"Okay, but what's the point of a homecoming date if you're not gonna fuck?" Owen asks.

"He's right." Jake nods his head. "Because I know I am. Devin you'd be lying if you said you're not. We know you and Britany go at it."

"Chill, bro." Devin laughs.

"Who are you going with?" Owen asks me and I nearly choke on my own spit. He is going to make a sexual innuendo; I just know it.

"Tatianna." I say, looking down at the turf. I don't want to see the look of surprise on their faces.

"As in Devin's sister?" Jake asks.

"Yeah."

"So, you smashing or what?" Owen asks.

"What the fuck, Owen." Devin gives him a nasty look.

"I'm not on that." I shake my head.

"Better not be." Dev glares at me.

Even though I have no intention of hooking up with Tatianna after homecoming, I don't know why Devin makes me out to be the antagonist. Devin and Britany sleep together all the time, yet it is a crime if I even think about it once—which I have imagined it. However, I will not act upon my imagination because I care for Tatianna. She is more than a sleezy date and hookup. I feel like I already know her, but I'd like to get to know her even more before we do anything sexual. I don't care that I've known her for such a long time. There is nothing like forming a friendship before jumping right into a relationship.

"Dev, I can't believe you man." I shake my head and grab my duffel bag.

"What?" He shrugs his shoulders.

"I'm outta here. See y'all later." I walk away from the football field.

I understand that Devin feels the need to be overprotective of his sister, but he doesn't have to treat me like this. All of the sudden I'm some horny teenager who can't control himself. He has never thought anything bad about me until I started talking to Tatianna. There's a fine line between being  protective and a jerk. He is definitely the latter. I don't know why he is acting like this. I have told him numerous times that I would never hurt Tatianna intentionally. He knows that. The whole damn world knows that.

Once I get to my car, I send Tatianna a text and ask her if she wants to come over my house. She is at work, but luckily she said she can come over after. It is Friday, so it's not like we have to be at school early the next day. Would I be asking too much if I asked her to stay the night? I just feel like being in her company. I've never craved being around her this much. Now that I know she reciprocates feelings, it's like I always want to be around her. Her mom was going to pick her up from work, but I offered to do it because I couldn't wait to see her. By the time I get out the shower and put on fresh clothes, her shift will be over. I'll probably get us some food because I know she is getting tired of the food at her job. Just because she works at a chicken place doesn't mean she wants to eat chicken all the time.

"Thanks for picking me up." Tatianna says as she gets into my car.

"No, problem." I turn to look at her.

"What?"

"No hello kiss?" I frown.

She leans over and pecks my lips. "Hello."

"Hi." I smile.

"Can I go home and take a shower? I smell like chicken." She asks.

"Tatianna, you can take a shower at my house." I wave her off.

"I don't have clothes."

"You can wear mine." I say. "I just wanna go home and chill with you. You're gonna take too long if you go home. Plus, I wanna get some food."

"No, I won't."

"Yes, you will." I chuckle.

"Fine, let's just go to your house, then." She playfully rolls her eyes.

"That's what I thought."

"Boy!"

"Girl!" I laugh.

After a long day at school and football practice, I finally get to relax with Tatianna by my side. I crash stomach first onto my bed before turning around and resting on my back. I fold my arms behind my head and rest my head on them, looking at Tatianna. She is looking at herself in the mirror, looking too fine in my clothes. My grey sweatpants are a little baggy on her and my shirt is a little too long, but she looks good nonetheless.

"Come lay down." I say.

"Hold on, let me turn the light off." She says. She turns off the light and makes her way to my bed.

I instantly relax at the way her body perfectly fits with mine. She is on her side with her arm wrapped around my waist. I remove one arm from behind my head and drape it along her side. My hand stops at her bottom, fingertips lightly tracing over the fabric of the sweatpants. I can feel her heartbeat against my chest and it's making mine race faster.

"So, how was your day?" I ask quietly.

"It was okay. Nothing much happened. What about yours?"

"Better now." I smirk. "Been thinking about you all day."

"Fergie, I'm serious!"

"I'm serious, too." I chuckle, rubbing her butt. "It was alright though, just a regular day in my opinion."

"Wanna watch tv?" She asks.

"Honestly, all I wanna do is take a nap." I shake my head. "You can watch tv, but I'm going to sleep."

"Okay." She laughs.

"As long as you stay cuddled up against me." I smile.

"Don't worry, I will."

I see her grabbing the remote and turning on the TV, before I close my eyes and try to sleep.
