A few days later, Rafiki and Makini had Fuli come to the tree for a check up. Kion came too to support her and Kiara insisted she come too. Fuli wondered who was more excited. Kiara becoming an aunty or Kion becoming a father? Either way, she was just as excited to finally meet her cubs. Rafiki and Makini check her stomach and ask her a few questions about the food she had been eating. A rather stupid question in Fuli's opinion. Why in the Pridelands would she eat plants and bugs?

"Have you been taking it easy? Not over exhorting yourself?" Asks Rafiki.

"Of course. Resting is all I've been doing," Fuli answers.

"Somewhat resting," Kion corrects.

Fuli shoots him a look to tell him to shut up. Kion immediately looks away from her death glare.

Makini rests her ear against Fuli's stomach and listens for the heart beat of the cubs or at least feel a kick, "I still hear two heart beats, Rafiki".

"Very good. The cubs are still healthy and strong. No surprise since you two are their parents," Rafiki says as he smirks at Kion and Fuli.

Fuli impatiently flicks her tail side to side. She knew the cubs were fine so why bother coming here to check them?

"It's to make sure you and the cubs are still healthy and to make sure nothing goes wrong," Rafiki answers the cheetah's question.

"But I didn't say anything," says Fuli.

"I knew you were thinking it".

Makini chuckles at her teacher's 'psychic' ability.

"Are we done now?" Asks Fuli.

"Yep. See ya!" Says Makini.

The three felines leave the tree.

"Have you thought of any names?" Kiara Asks.

"We have," Fuli nods. "But we're going to reveal them once the cubs are born".

"I'm so excited for you two".

"We're excited too" replies Kion.

Fuli looks at her growing stomach and sighs, "I wish they would be born already. I'm getting sick of carrying them all day as well as everyone's worrying".

"Don't jinx yourself. They could be born tomorrow for all we know and they will be quite the pawful," says Kiara.

"I just want to see them".

And soon she will. Four days pass and Kion and his friends find themselves patrolling the Pridelands, only this time, Kiara decided to join them before starting her royal duties for the day, much to Fuli's displeasure.

"So have you guys finally started a family?" Kiara asks the rest of the group.

"Asali and I have been thinking about adopting," Bunga answers.

"I'm not quite ready to start a family," Beshte confesses.

"Affirmative. I have three eggs in the nest," Ono says proudly.

"Congratulations," Kiara replies.

"Thank you".

Kion looks left and right, searching for any sign of danger. He didn't know why but he had a feeling that something was wrong. Maybe he was just being paranoid about the outlanders lack of attacks or maybe he was just worried about Fuli and the cubs. She did mention that the cubs were kicking harder today. Fuli notices the sorry written on her mate's face.

"Kion? Are you alright?" She asks.

Kion smiles at her, "yes. I'm fine".

"You're on edge again".
