Lana's POV:
"Knock, knock, knock" Who's at the door
Sean gets off the couch and says "I'll get it."
He opens the door
I see 2 police officers
I walk towards them
"Is this the house of Jared?" The tall cop asks sternly
"Uh-uh-m yes..." I say
"Well since Jared's biological mother wants to have some sort of contact with her son, it's best for this to be settled in court." The shorter cop says
"What-what?" I say mumbling
"You will be sent to court as well as your husband to settle who gets the child. Now if there are no questions we must be leaving." The tall cop says
"Uhm, no." Sean says looking at me stunned
"Alright." One of them say walking away
Just before they get too far I walk out the door and ask "Who sent you here?"
"Sarah, Sarah Gilmore." The tall cop says
Oh I'm furious
"Sean, call Sarah." I say heading back in
He dials and she finally picks up
I grab the phone from Sean
"Sarah! I thought we-we had a plan and, why?" I say still processing what happend
"Well after I put some thought through it, and using some info from when I worked at the adoption center, I figured it would be best to settle this professionaly." She says
"But... Will we both get custody of him or?" I ask
"Oh no Lana, we are moving to Australia. There will be no sharing." She tells us
"Well too bad for you Sarah because how will you see Jared?" Sean says hanging up
"We will keep him." Sean says hugging me
I get teary
"Mommy, daddy. Morning." I hear Jared's yawning
I turn to see him on the stairs rubbing his sleepy eyes
"Jared!" I say running up to him, hugging him as if it were the last
I feel Sean hug us too
Next thing I know we are all just hugging
But will it last forever?
