The door in front of me... Says so much possability with so little. What could be behind this door? Laughter, life, liability, love...? The anticpiation builds up inside of me like an impatient teenager driving for an empty street for the first time. I open the door, and the first thing I see...
"Clearly your taste in curry is unrefined, Maki!" I see Nico, raising her voice a bit at Maki, completely contradicting her apparent personality from before.
"It's not like your's is much better Nico." Maki says.
"Clearly we're getting off track, point is, it's going to be awesome to have one of my adoring fans here!" Nico says, her face full of dreaming glee.
"Do we really know if they're a huge fan of you? They just knew your name." Maki responds, trying to bring Nico back to Earth.
"Don't ruin my moment!" Nico responds. At this point... I have to throw my thought out now.
"Is this about me?" I ask. After that I see twelve shiny eyes all looking at me, Nico's in embarassment, Maki and the other third years' in a "I saw this coming" expression, and the other first years expressing mild shock.
"Hehe.... H-Hi, (Y/N)!" Nico says as she instantly tries to cover up what she was doing with a smile.
"I don't understand..." Maki says, looking off in the other direction.
"Let's get back to practice everyone." a blonde third year I recognise from videos of lives says.
------------------------------
This was cool in concept, but I feel kind of weird being here. I can't really talk while they're practicing because then I'm kind of distracting them, but it's kinda... Odd to just watch them practice. So basically I'm sitting here keeping my mind busy with other stuff until my opportunity comes to chip in. I then glance up to notice the face of the responsible girl from earlier, with her twin-tailed friend to the right of her.
"Hello, you're the new student here, right?" She smiles at me, I haven't known her for ten minutes and she already practically owns my heart.
"Yup, and you're Eli Ayase, student council president, right?" I say.
"Oh!" she seems a bit surprised that I know her "did Honoka tell you?".
"Not really, I just recognised you from µ's works" I say in response. "The girl next to you is... Nozomi Tojo, right?".
"Mhm, right on the money (Y/N)~." Nozomi says. I guess it's nice that Nico said my name, introductions can feel a bit awkward. As soon as this exchange is over, I notice the door to my left swing open.
"Sorry we're late!" Honoka walks in with Kotori and Umi trailing behind her "did we mis anything" she askes.
"Nothing aside from Nico humiliati-" Maki leaves a slight grin before she gets cut off.
"Not one more word of it!" Nico says while covering Maki's mouth, clearly embarassed and flustered. Kotori and Nozomi giggle.
"Seems like everything's fine, at least (Y/N) hasn't caused any trouble", Umi joked towards me.
"Heh..." all I can really muster up is a weak laugh, not really sure how to respond to that.
------------------------------
Nothing of note really happened for the next while of practice. Everything was chilling out and small talk was filling the roof until something that caught my attention was brought up.
"What are you guys doing over after school and over the weekend?" Rin said. Dang it, it completely flew over my head that everyone was having a couple days away from eachother. Never in my life have I thought that I would really really want to be at school.
"We have nothing to do" Kotori says, referring to herself and the other second years.
"Nothing here either..." Eli says. Everyone else chips in with their own way of saying "nothing", before everyone directs their attention to me... which I was not expecting.
"Oh... Um.... I've got nothing" I pitch in.
"W-Would anyone be interested in spending the night at my house...? I'd have to ask my dad, but I don't think he would have an issue..." Maki says, she doesn't really keep eye contact while saying it though and she fiddles with her hair a bit.
"As long as I don't have to work I should be fine" Honoka responds.
"I don't think I have anything going on" Umi says.
"Nothing here either" Kotori says.
"I'll have to ask my mom" Hanayo and Rin both say before giggling.
"I doubt anyone will object for us." Eli says referring to the third years.
"Great, I'll see what I can do" Maki says. Everyone continues to talk about it and call their parents and such, meanwhile I'm stuck over here feeling kind of left out. After a few minutes past, I decide to brace myself and say what I need to!
"Umm... Maki...? Can I come?" I ask her as politely as possible. I'm not exactly sure how she feels about me after our less than steller introduction, but I just hope she doesn't hate me.
"You...?" oh gosh, she must be really mad... "Sure, (Y/N)." she says as she cracks a slight grin, before losing it shortly after. "I mean... I guess you can come..."
She doesn't seem like she loves me or anything, but she definitely doesn't hate me at least. Also, holy crap! I get to spend more time with everyone!! She gives me the information about when and where and everything like that, and I'm already excited to go! All I have to do is head home, then in a little while life's going to be a lot of fun!
------------------------------
Author's note: well... this took even longer than last time. I think it's much harder for me to make these consistently since school has started up, a lot of the time I'm just too tired after doing work for me to write. I'll try to get at least one chapter out a week but I definitely want to get more, but this time, no promises about each chapter taking two or three days to make.
