Well I don't remember when this happened (maybe a few months ago) but in smash ultimate I played Pichu just to see what was good about her, because I kept hearing Pichu was top tier and even above Pikachu. I didn't think it was true, if the little guy damages itself with most its attacks then how good could it possibly be? Lucky for me, the cpu player just happened to be Pikachu. If it wasn't pikachu, I don't think I would've known any differences between the two, except for that Pichu hurts itself with every electric attack.
I'm sure you guys probably know the differences between the two, but I've never played as Pichu. So what I've gathered is Pichu's attacks in general come out faster than Pikachu's but they aren't as powerful.
So I was doing some thing where the first to 3 victories wins. So Pikachu won the first two and I was like "no, there's no way I'm gonna lost to my evolution" then I won the next three rounds 👍
I might play Pichu for fun, but I'm never using it as one of my mains.
