"Hey, Quinn. It's Shelby."
"Yeah, hi." Quinn said. "Everything okay? Is Beth okay?"
"Beth is fine." Shelby promised. "I actually had a favor to ask you."
"Oh." Quinn replied. "What's up?"
"I have a conference this weekend." Shelby informed Quinn. "Are you around to watch Beth?"
"Puck didn't want to?" Quinn questioned Shelby.
"I'm asking you first." Shelby stated.
Quinn furrowed her eyebrow.
Before Quinn could say anything, Shelby continued. "It's just that he doesn't have his own place and I didn't want him to be overwhelmed for an entire weekend especially after last time."
"What happened last time?" Quinn asked.
"Nothing." Shelby said. "I just figured you and Beth could do girl things."
Girl things?" Quinn repeated.
"Yeah." Shelby said. "Hair, nails, whatever."
Quinn nodded slowly.
"If you're not free or you don't want to-"
"No, I will." Quinn cut Shelby off. "I wanna spend more time with her."
"She'd love that." Shelby told Quinn.
"Great." Quinn smiled. "I'll see you on Friday?"
"I'll text you when I'm on my way to drop her off." Shelby responded.
"Thanks, Shelby." Quinn said.
"Thank you." Shelby replied. "Bye, Quinn."
"Bye."
Quinn hung up the phone and decided to call Dylan. It rang twice before going to voicemail, which meant that he declined the call.
Quinn decided to leave a message.
"Hey, it's me. I'm just calling to let you know that I won't see you this weekend. I hope you had a good week and I'll catch up with you soon. Bye."
