Aang stared into space as he stood in front of a large crowd in front of the Republic City Cemetery, at the funeral of Katara. It has been one week since it happened. Not even Sokka was messed up as Aang. Aang spoke. "Katara, I love you. You were my whole world. And now, I'm just walking around like a lost kid. I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I guess I can't save everyone. If you are watching or even listening, this is for you, Katara. And only you."
Aang raised the microphone up and began to sing the song he wrote this morning.
"It's been a minute since I called you
Just to hear the answerphone

He leaned down and kissed the coffin. Aang buried Katara deep into the Earth and thanked everyone for coming. What the citizens of Republic City and his family didn't know was there will not be one, but two deaths that month.
Avatar Aang died of a broken heart that night. His sadness, guilt, and pain induced a heart attack. His last words were, "I'm coming Katara," as he gazed at the ceiling and saw the hand of angelic Katara, reaching out to bring him home. Katara's was his home and, he was hers.
Not only was Aang the last Airbender, he was also the last Avatar.
