*PETER'S POV*

Oh fuck fuck fuck fuck.

It's really him.

"Oh my God," I say, my mouth hanging open. "Harley!!"

He smiles, "Peter!!"

"It's been a while," I awkwardly grin at him.

"Yeah... I'm sorry we lost touch."

"It happens," I say nonchalantly. Suddenly, I notice something.

"Your hair!"

He smiles sheepishly.

"I like it," I said.

"Thanks. You look good too." He walked up to me, "I think you might have even grown."

I laugh. "Thank God I finally did."

"So... this is cool. We're roommates." He walked over to the wardrobe on his side of the room and looked inside. "What a coincidence."

"Yeah it is," I agree. He stepped back from the wardrobe and turned to me. "Need any help?" He asked, motioning to my things. "I'm already done unpacking."

"That would be great," I chuckle. Dad and Pops made me bring EVERYTHING they think I would ever need... so I have a lot of stuff.

I don't want things to be awkward between me and Harley but I'm afraid that it will be. Maybe spending some time together would help relieve that. Maybe this isn't such a bad thing.

We start putting my stuff away. "So... how's your mother?" I ask. I remember that he had to leave because his mom had cancer. The last time we talked, he had said that she was doing better.

"She's doing really good. Everything is mostly back to normal. Finally." He sighed. "It was tough for a while. I'm just so glad that everything is okay."

"Me too," I said. I feel so bad for him that he had to go through that. It must be so scary.

(A/N: this is totally irrelevant but someone just Airdropped an Endgame spoiler to everyone and all hell broke loose... I'm scared, someone's going to get murdered.)

"Anyway," Harley said, folding one of my shirts and putting it in a drawer, "how's your life been? Saving New York City every night as always?"

I chuckled. "Yeah. My dad is always trying to update my suit. It seems like it doesn't stay the same for more than month."

"Did you bring it here?" He asked.

I pull my red and blue suit out of my bag. "Yup. Just in case."

I see him flash a small smile. "Now I'll always feel safe."

"Good," I smile back.

We stare at each other for a while until it started to get awkward.

He broke the silence, continuing to help me fold my clothes.

"So... I don't know if you saw me or not but I was in the admissions office at the same time as you."

Really?

"Oh. I didn't. You should have said something."

"I didn't know what to say," he shrugged. "But I ran into your dad. Well actually he ran into me in a literal sense," he laughed, "but he told me that you're dating someone?"

My heart dropped. I haven't told Dad or Pops that Conan and I broke up yet.

"Oh... yeah. His name is Conan but-"

"When did you guys get together?"

Oh shit. Is he jealous?

"Um... we haven't been together for very long but-"

"I really thought it would take you longer to get invested in another relationship... but I guess not."

"Harley..." My heart sank. I don't want him to feel like I never loved him. Because I did... and I still do. "You know how much you mean to me right?"

"Not really," he admitted. "I haven't been in another relationship since we broke up. I haven't even thought about it. I couldn't get over you."

"It took me a long time to finally get out there again after our break up. I mean I cried for MONTHS." I sat on my bed and fidgeted with my hands. "I'm sorry I hurt you."

He sighed. "It's okay. I mean I guess it's different for everyone."

"We broke up by the way." I said hurriedly.

He turned to look at me. "What?"

"Me and Conan broke up," I said quietly, slower this time. "We decided it was best. He's going to NYU and I'm going here. So..."

"Oh Peter... I'm so sorry." He came over to my bed and sat down next to me.

"It's fine," I sighed. "We're still friends. That's why he came with me today. I haven't told Dad and Pops that we broke up yet so they still think we're dating."

"You should probably tell them," he suggested.

"I will," I assured him, "just not now. I don't want them worrying about me."

He nodded. "Understandable."

We spent some time talking about college, like our majors, what we're most excited for, our first impressions, our acceptance letters. It was really good to have him back. I guess I didn't realize how much I missed him until I had him again.

"...so THEN Riley finally gave it to me. I saw it was from MIT and I ripped it open. When I saw that I got accepted, I almost cried." He laughed, "MIT's my dream school."

"Mine too," I smiled, thinking about Harley's crazy family. And the fact that we're both living our dreams.

"Hey," he chuckled, "remember when we were both talking about going to MIT before I left?"

I thought for a minute. "Oh yeah! That's crazy."

We both laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. Harley turned to me and I could feel him looking at me, so I turned and stared back. His lips formed into a little smile. The cutest smile.

And his lips...

His deep blue eyes...

Goddamn.

Oh my fucking hell he's so hot.

Wait-

I'm not still in love with him.

Am I?
