Try Again (A Scripted Series) Part Two

ACT ONE

SNAP. Savannah and Vance are talking in Savannah's car.

SNAP. They're talking in the school hallway.

SNAP. They're hugging in the hallway.

SNAP. Vance is opening his car in the school parking lot.

SNAP. Savannah steps out of his car. 

INT. NORTHPOINTE HIGH/BOYS LOCKER ROOM – DAY

Vance and Savannah enter the locker room, Vance leading the way. Snickers are heard in the back.

SAVANNAH

I'm regretting this already.

Vance holds his finger to his lips. They round the corner. Eric and Josh (athlete, skater, jokester) are huddling around something, laughing.

VANCE

Our biggest catch of the weekend.

Eric and Josh step aside to reveal the Southside rivals mascot, Nash the Shark.

SAVANNAH

You stole Southside's mascot?

ERIC

We'll give him back. Eventually.

JOSH

I say we keep him. How fly would he look as a hoody.

Vance hands Savannah his camera.

VANCE

Would you please do the honors? Thank you, kind lady.

He and the boys pose around Nash. Savannah knows this isn't going to pan out well, but plays along.

VANCE/ERIC/JOSH

Northpointe!

SNAP.

INT. CHOIR – DAY

Lights are down. The class is watching "Sister Act 2." While the St. Francis choir sings "Joyful Joyful" on the screen, Torie,Savannah, Mo, Shae, and Brandy join in. Mo gets a text.

MO

No they didn't. Did you see this?

She shows Torie the photo of Vance, Eric, and Josh with Nash. This is bad.

TORIE

You have got to be kidding me.

EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD – DAY

Torie leads Savanna, Mo, Brandy, and Shae onto the football field as the P.E. class enjoys their free day. She storms up to Tristen, Vance, Eric, and Josh who are tossing a football around. Eric and Mo lock eyes, lovingly acknowleding each other. Josh eyes Brandy. She doesn't pay him any mind. Torie displays the incriminating photo.

TORIE

Who's idea was this?

Vance raises his hand.

VANCE

That would be me.

TORIE

Do you have any idea what you've done?

TRISTEN

I told them not to go through with it.

JOSH

I plead not "gilly".

The boys laugh. The girls don't find anything funny about it.

SHAE

They're clueless.

ERIC

Are we in trouble?

BRANDY

Southside is known for pulling the biggest Senior pranks in history.

TORIE

And you're kidnapping stunt just made us a target.

MO

Mannie's a goner. It was nice knowing him.

TORIE

We can't let that happen.

SAVANNAH

So how do we stop it?

TORIE

We're going to be ready for them. Tonight, we have a stakeout.
