INT. LOGAN HOME/ TRISTEN'S BEDROOM – DAY

TRISTEN'S POV

Tristen's staring at his trophy case while he's playing his snare drum. Savannah's tree sits in the middle of his awards.

SUPERIMPOSE: The Juggler

There's a knock on his door. He keeps drumming as he turns around. Shae stands in the doorway.

SHAE

Torie needs you on a beverage run.

TRISTEN

You want to ride with me?

SHAE

I need to finish getting ready.

TRISTEN

What else could you possibly need to do?

Shae is charmed, but holding her ground.

SHAE

Rain check.

She walks away.

TRISTEN

I'm going to hold you to it.

SHAE

I bet you will, drummer boy.

INT. ALL EAT'S DINER – DAY

Bell rings as Tristen enters the diner. He sees Vance and Savannah sitting in a booth together. Curious. Vance is enjoying this.

VANCE

Sup, man?

TRISTEN

Talent show duty. I'll catch you guys later.

He walks up to the counter. Gwen smiles behind it.

GWEN

Hey, Tristen. Five decaf honey teas?

TRISTEN

One day I'm going to have to try actual food from this place.

GWEN

Not unless you want to gain ten pounds just by reading the menu.

She works on his order.

TRISTEN

The sweet rolls do look like trouble.

GWEN

My personal weakness. Where are the girls playing at this time?

TRISTEN

School talent show.

GWEN

That's right. You go to Northpointe with my brother. Abram.
