EXT. SKATING RINK PARKING LOT – NIGHT
Torie's sitting in her car alone, staring out into the night. Through the window of the car to her right, we see Abram pulling up beside it. He parks. Notices Torie.
Torie isn't aware. Still lost in thought. Until...
"Big Girls Don't Cry" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons plays from Abram's truck. She looks over and sees Abram. He smirks at her.
She can't help but smile. Replies with "It's My Party" by Lesley Gore. Waits for his comeback.
Abram plays "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey. He gets out of his truck and lip syncs the first stanza.
Torie gets out of her car and lip syncs the second stanza.
They meet in the headlights of Abram's truck. They lip synch and dance around the truck. They hop into the truck bed rocking out.
JOURNEY
Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streelight people
Living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Abram jumps out and air guitars the guitar solo while Torie dances then makes the truck bed her stage.
JOURNEY
Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Streetlight people...
EXT. PARKING LOT – NIGHT
Torie and Abram lie in the bed of his truck staring up at the stars.
TORIE
This is a nice truck.
ABRAM
Hard work pays off. Aren't you supposed to be inside bossing everyone around?
TORIE
It's a total disaster. No one's taking it seriously.
ABRAM
What's the point of doing this if you're not going to have fun?
TORIE
Is that why you came out tonight? Aside from showing off your new wheels.
Abram contemplates his answer.
ABRAM
Trying to think outside the box.
He gets up and jumps out of the truck. Holds out his hand. She hesitates. What's he up to now?
ABRAM (CONT'D)
Are we making this video or what?
