We are sorry. This is a responsibility you didn’t ask for. But right now, if you don’t even consider it, a lot of people will die. Maybe if you can unite powerful nations together, we may have a chance to even save your brother.

“NOW that Kole has performed, why don’t you sing us a song, Aileene?”

“Stop it, Sky. I’m not even a singer, myself.”

“I even remembered you volunteer to sing at my wedding.”

“I was just kidding, Tillie.”

“Come on. Do it at least for your ray of sunshine.” Aida winked.

I glanced at Faelern’s who was chatting with Kuda. When he looked at my direction, I quickly turned my head the other way. I took in a deep breath and sang in a low voice so that only the four of us could hear.

I’ve never gone with the wind

Just let it flow

Let it take me where it wants to go

Till you open the door

There's so much more

I've never seen it before

I was trying to fly

But I couldn't find wings

Then you came along

And you changed everything

You lift my feet off the ground

Spin me around

You make me crazier, crazier

Feels like I'm falling and I

I'm lost in your eyes

You make me crazier,

Crazier, crazier

After I sang, I heard the others applauded. I looked behind my back and noticed the Daga-Ken. I slapped my forehead. I almost forgot about their Kaleik ears.

“Don’t be upset. You sang good.”

I gasped upon hearing Faelern’s comment. “You heard it, too?”

“Yes.”

Aida snorted. “Who wouldn’t? Since you started singing, everybody stopped their businesses and listened to you.”

I covered my face from embarassment. “Sorry for disturbing you, everyone. I won’t do it again, promise.”

Then the four of us gathered up for our regular “girl talk.”

“How are you feeling now?”

“Better. I’m still pissed though.”

“Aida, I’m sorry about Victor. I know he was a good friend.”

“Oh, Sky…”

“That bastard Diego… Just when I thought he couldn’t get any worse!”

“Sky... In the dungeons… I think I met my… the queen.”

“You met your mother?”

“Yeah. I’m not used to saying that.”

I gasped from surprise. “It shouldn’t have been easy.”

“I don’t know. It was easy. I didn’t feel anything. Maybe because I was too busy trying to save my *ss but… I have never seen her before. She is just another noble lady, you know. Am I supposed to feel this way? Am I cold?”
