Our whole year was divided on they topic whether smacking a a child if they did something dangerous/wrong was abuse or not.

I don't think it's abuse coz they only hit the kid when the kid did that may be fatal to the kid's well being.

Anyway, story time.

Apparently, - my mum told me told me this - when I was more than half an year old, I started crawling.

So, I crawl here and there, generally having the time of my life when I see this socket.

Baby me, thinks this socket might be a fun thing to play with so I poke my pinkie finger into on of its holes - I was a premature child, so I was tiny. My parents said that they has to buy doll's clothes to fit me.

Anyway, my dad sees me poking my finger into this socket and he slapped me. I mean, what if I got electrocuted or something? What if I died?

And then my mum tells me, I never crawled near a socket ever again.

Well, I guess that's one if the reasons why I'm so unnaturally scared of sockets and electric wires.

So, what I mean to say is, I think it's okay if your parents hit or slap you if you do something wrong. It teaches you not to do it ever again.
