Okay. Story time.

When I changed school, I didn't know my way around yet so my dad had to drop me to school and back again.

He hated waking up early.

So, I decided to walk to school. It was only a 15 min walk to the bus stop and a 10 min bus ride - so why not?

This was in my old house, btw.

My dad told me the way and for the first few days (one week to be exact), he walked me to the bus stop and then back again.

So after nearly a week, my dad decided that since its been a week, I should know my way around here. So, he told me that I'll walk to the bus stop by myself and he'll follow me a lil way back.

So, picture me this, me trying my best to get home - I suck at following directions. Tell me to go right and then left, I'll probably do left and then left - and my dad keeping a safe distance behind me, making sure I won't get lost.

So, one of my bag straps kinda falls down my shoulder and my dad suddenly darts up and tries to fix it.

I hiss at him: Stop touching me! You're a stranger, remember?

Can you see how those words can be taken differently?

My dad got a lot a dirty looks from people around him - especially because at this time time of the day, the streets ate usually crowded.

He was oblivious to them all. He's like me. I'm oblivious to everything.

And to tell people that the man beside me was no stranger I kinda shout: PAPA! I'M FINE!

The lesson I learnt that day?

People will eavesdrop on your convos so make sure you aren't discussing world domination plans on the street.
