"You're really stubborn and annoying."

    "What makes you think you could barge in on my plan like I pleaded for you to join?" Five retorded, unamused and annoyed by the girl in front of him.

"First of all, rude. Second, your plan sucks and third, Face it Five, you need all the help you can get and I know that you're secretly hoping someone would offer help but you being a hard-headed egotistical jerk refrained from asking because for you pleading for help is considered guilty." Raw shot back, offended at him for unwavering her offer, if he thinks that he is superior over everything Rae Jasmine wants to knock him to reality and let him realize that he isn't worth all that shit.

Five crosses his arms and scoffed, knowing full well that the girl was not in the mood to be bickering with him, he could see that there was sorry in her eyes, something that Five found new and interesting considering how the only thing filling her eyes were hatred and sarcasm.

"Fine, but try not to be such a brat and complain about everything and-- did you say my plan sucked?" He questioned, seemingly struck by the words. Never in his life has a person tell him what they truly think of him and his wits, except his father.

Rae Jasmine scratched the back of her neck, looking anywhere but the boy, she finally let him agree but she had to let a criticism slip in.

"I swear I can't stand you but I'll let this one thing slip." Five muttered, retreating back to his room and shutting the door.

Rae sighed, she was relieved the guy hadn't started another quarrel.

She had nothing left to do so she tested her body on the soft mattress, her worries flood her brain but she was so tired, one thing she would always remember though was that if she dies trying to save the world, it would give her life meaning.

    Five was stitiching up his wound, he hiss in pain when the needle hits on his skin, he put on his uniform and glanced at his door, contemplating whether he should ask the girl to go investigate with him or just go with Dolores,

He rolled his eyes knowing that he needed help, he thought about what she said and that struck a nerve. He knew that the girl was witty but damn, even he was impressed.

With one last grumble, Five stood up from the bed and opened his door faintly, he glanced at the guest room and saw Rae Jasmine sleeping peacefully, he furrowed his eyebrows, confused as to why the girl was sweating profoundly but still managed to be at peace.

He had the urge to wake her up with cold water, but knowing that she would tackle him on the ground and possibly kill him, so he refrained and ended up nudging her slightly. She woke up, startled by the sudden contact, she glanced at whoever woke her up and saw the boy with a flare on his eyes.

"C'mon let's save the world."

This chapter is short and I hate it, this is just a filler on Rae and Five's friendship blossoming, if course if we want them to be together we have to let them be I the same page.

Their love needs to be a slow burn y'all please understand ♡
