~~Mother's Day 2029~~

Part 2:

Ten minutes minutes later, the couple was in their own room, finally alone for the first time since the early morning hours. The pets were in various places around the house and the security rounds done by Richard. Maine also checked the master bedroom and bath for any pets that might have escaped before closing the door to the hallway. Both stripped off their clothing and prepared for their nightly routine. Each one showered, brushed their teeth and took care of other necessities before heading into their own bed.

Richard started to say something to Maine, but she put her finger on his lips and shook her head. He gave her a quizzical look. She held up her index finger to let him know she would explain soon. Maine dressed in just her bathrobe, stood still with her arms around her husband, his arms around her, and listened to the quiet. She could hear Richard's breathing and her own over the sounds of the air moving through the vents of the airconditioning.

M: *letting out a sigh, and explained to R* I was just enjoying the sound of the house being quiet.

R: *nods* Yeah, we can get very noisy no? Five kids, 4 dogs, 2 rabbits, 2 birds, one kitten, one guinea pig, one lizard and a truckload of toys does keep the house of Faulkerson very lively. *chuckles*

M: *snickers* Lively is too tame Love, chaos is more like it.

R: But we wouldn't have it any other way. *kisses M*

M: I would chose that noise and chaos over anything, any given day. *then sighs*

R: O bakit may buntong hininga?

M: I'm just thinking about the kids and us, they're growing up so fast. Thirdy's turning ten this year, konti nalang may binata na tayo, then Theo would shortly follow. Aycee's six and the twins are leaving their babyhood fast behind. How did we go from newly-weds in 2019 to having five kids now? Where did all those time go?

R: Productive tayo eh. *laughs* Remember how scared we were when we found out we're having Thirdy? And during that time nobody even know we're already married, let alone together. Hirap na hirap pa tayo nun with contracts and how to break the news to people, those were the days.

M: Tapos magkakasunod na halos ang mga bata na dumating. Ikaw kasi ang harot mo eh! *laughs*

R: Mrs. Faulkerson, paalala ko lang po, dalawa po ang magulang ng mga batang yan, it always takes two. *chuckles*

M: It always take two nga pero pag lalabas na sila sa tiyan, bakit nanay lang ang nahihirapan. *pouts*

R: Kaya nga Moms are the best in the world, ultimate sacrifice talaga. So on behalf of our five kids, we love you Mommy! *kisses M*
