It was a warm friday afternoon. Maine has just arrived home from hosting EB. Richard had to swing by GMA for a meeting he can't get out of. So Meng went home ahead of him. Their youngest child, seven year old Charmaine had an asthma attack yesterday at school and had to be brought to the ER. It wasn't really serious to warrant an admission at the hospital, and Chuchay has been having these intermittent attacks since she was a baby, but Meng was still worried and wanted to see her daughter immediately.
She canceled all her schedule for the afternoon. That is one important caveat her and RJ had made since they got married and started having babies. Their family will always comes first. They always make sure that in case their children needs them, they will have the option to cancel or move their schedules. And that is exactly what she did today, going straight upstairs as soon as she arrives home. Chuchay was sleeping. Ninay was staying with her in the room.
M: Ninay, kumusta na?
Ninay: Ay good afternoon po Ma'am. Maayos naman po si Chuchay. Wala na pong hingal. Nag nebulizer tapos nakatulog na. Di naman din po nag lagnat. Maayos din naman po ang pagkain kanina.
M: Hay thank you Lord. *touches her daughter's chest, sensing well-paced, even and unlabored breathing* Thank you Mama Mary..
Ninay: Naglaro na nga po kanina yan. Nagtatakbo pababa gusto mag swimming, napagalitan tuloy sya ni Manang Virgie.
M: Sabi nga sakin ni Mama Virgie kanina nung tumawag ako *chuckles* Tapos tinawagan pa nga si Daddy nya kasi ayaw daw sya payagan ni Lola Gie nya. Sabi ko why didn't she call me? Daddy daw better kasi he always says yes. Lokong bata. Yan na-spoiled kasi ni RJ.
Ninay: *laughs* Bunso po kasi.
M: *laughs* Oo nga, baby kasi. Uy Ninay kung gusto mo muna magpahinga o kumain, ako na muna dito.
Ninay: Ay ok lang po ako dito, kumain na po ako. Kayo po kumain na?
M: Hindi pa nga, nagmamadali kasi ako umuwi.
Ninay: Ay teka po, mag akyat po ako ng pagkain. Ano po bang gusto nyo? Munggo po ang ulam saka rellenong bangus. Magpaluto po ako ng iba kay Manang Idang kung di nyo gusto.
M: Hindi bababa nalang ulit ako. Sure ka ok ka lang dito?
Ninay: Opo, naglalaro lang po ako ng Township sa cellphone *grins*
M: Sus, para ka din si Riza, hilig dyan. Pag igihan mo at magdala ka ng gulay ha *laughs* Siya, silipin ko muna yung iba tapos kain ako.
Ninay: Nasa kwarto po yata yung kambal parang nakita ko kanina naglalaro ng computer. Si Theo di pa po umuuwi. Si Thirdy po mamaya pa yun gabi.
M: Nagpapaalam si Theo lalabas kasama mga friends niya kakain lang daw sa mall to celebrate the end of exams. Daanan nalang siya ni Daddy nya pag pauwi na. Thirdy still has college classes until 5pm kaya mamaya pa yun. Sige maiwan ka muna dito ha. Silipin ko lang sila kambal tapos kain lang ako.
Ninay: Sige po.
M: *proceeding to the eleven year old twins' room and knocking* Sebby? Sieggy? I'm home! *opening the door and seeing the two boys sprawled on the carpeted floor* Hey..
