*******ALDUBPARIN****************(Part Two)
They all enjoyed various activities on the boat while it was sailing. Kuya Aga and Kuya Mio taught the children how to cast lines with their fishing rods, Richard and the kids combed every inch of the ship, they take turns in sitting on the captain's chair and controlling the ship wheel, studying the state of the art sonar system, the older boys climbing the modern day crow's nest and looking at the horizon with a sailor's telescope, Richard also enjoyed the small regatta sailboat that they used to go around the waters near the general area of their ship when it threw anchor in the open sea. Richard tried wake boarding, windsurfing and sea-kayaking. They water-skiied, jet-skiied, went diving, scuba-diving, snorkeled and para-sailing too and Maine couldn't help but remember her first time riding one, it was her 21st birthday celebration in Boracay and her Richard surprised her by showing up in the island that day. It's one of her favorite stories to tell her kids. Now after so many years later, they are doing the same thing and this time it's with their offsprings. 'How time flies so fast,' she muses.
Mostly Maine stayed on the ship to keep a close eye on her younger kids who enjoyed the pool and the boat-shaped bouncy inflatables. She donned her two-piece bikini, of course her favorite pair in yellow, showing her curves along with some stretch marks she had accumulated along the years with each baby she carried. Her battle scars she says, and she wears them with pride. She played with baby Charmaine, Aycee and the twin boys on the heated pool. She insisted that the kids take their afternoon naps since they were all up very early. She and Richard took that opportunity to rest too and napped along with the rest of their children. They resumed their activities in the afternoon after they woke up.
Every so often, while playing with the kids or manning the helm of the ship, Richard would jog towards her side and kiss Maine repeatedly, saying thank you over and over again. And seeing how his eyes lit up every time he discovered something new in the ship, or did well in the water activities, it was worth triple of the amount she spent. Her husband deserves so much more.
Richard had always put others before himself. He established his family first when he started making good money from showbiz, and when they got married and started having children, Maine and the kids became his forefront. His wife and children above all others including himself. And when he grabbed at the opportunity to further himself and his craft by taking a year off when he was offered a scholarship to study acting and directing in New York University, Maine of course went with him, no questions asked. She took a year off too and played a quaint little homemaker to her husband and kids in New York City. They already have Thirdy and Theo during that time. She brought Yaya Pepe with her to help them out. Not wanting to waste the time or the chance either, she took online courses and attended some classes and workshops on acting and writing. She actually felt sad when the year was up. She had always like New York City, and being there with her small family, able to drive to the groceries, bringing her children to the park, playing in the snow, riding the subway, just being regular people without being mobbed on a daily basis was pure bliss. But return home they must. And when they did, they brought an additional person home with them. She was six months pregnant with Aycee by the time they went back from their sojourn in New York City.
