4. unpacking with Zion

We get home and Ava and I decided to have a netflix movie night. We get in pajamas, take our makeup off, and make tea and popcorn.

"You know, I think you actually have a chance with Zion" Ava turns and says to me. I just laugh.

"I don't know how I feel about him yet. Like he's cute, not going to lie. But he's annoying" I say

"I'm sure it's just because he likes you" she says

"Stop saying that! He doesn't. I don't like him. There, end of discussion" I say

"That's what you say for now" she says and takes a sip of her tea. We watch 2 movies, and then both fall asleep. I wake up in the middle of the night, Ava and I both fell asleep on the couch. I decided to let her sleep on the couch so I didn't have to wake her up. I put a cover on her and then walk over to my bed. I check my phone and see a notification from snapchat. It's from Zion. He had just added me. Mind you it's 2:30 am, I was scared to open, you know what people try sending late at night...

I opened it, and it was his face and it said "I'm bored". I responded with a pic saying "And i'm tired. Goodnight". He responded right away and said "Goodnight Smalls". I opened it, laughed a little and went to sleep.

The next morning Ava woke up first, and tapped my shoulder.

"Hey I have some errands to run. Do you want to come?" she says

"No it's fine. I still have unpacking to do." I say rubbing my eyes

"Okay, I'll be back later. I have a lot of things to do and have to grab some stuff from my brothers house" she says

"Alright" I say and she waves goodbye and walks out the door. I check my phone and Zion had snapchated me again. He said "GOOD MORNING" in all caps. How does he have this much energy. I texted him back. "This is the most high school shit ever. You have my number. Text me". He replies back with "I gave you my number. You didn't give me yours." I laughed and texted his number.

*Texts*

Me: There here's my number
Zion: Oh aight bet. Imma name you "Smalls"
Me: Then I'm changing your name to Biggie
Zion: Still haven't changed the hearts? 😏
Me: Oh no I did that a long time ago
Zion: Oh
Me: Hahaha
Zion: Let's hang out today
Me: That's gonna have to be a hard pass
Zion: 😑
Me: But i actually have unpacking to do
Zion: Perfect, ill help you
Me: I'm good
Zion: And how about the things you can't reach
Me: It's called a chair
Zion: Hm...too bad i'm still coming

I roll my eyes

Me: Fine whatever, but you're not staying for long
Zion: 🤐

*Texts ends*

I had to get ready if he was going to come over. I did look like trash. I just put on a sweatshirt and leggings. About 40 min later, I got a call from the front desk of the dorm. They told me I had a guest. I went down, and it was Zion. They opened the door for him and he walks towards me and puts his arm around me

"Wassup Smalls" he says. I move his arm from around me.

"Hi Biggie" I say and we go in the elevator. While we're standing in the elevator. He looks at me

"What?" I say

"I can't believe, I, Zion Kuwonu, is going to Leilani's dorm" he says with a fake fan girl voice. I hit it, and he just laughs. As we walk to my room he says Hi to a bunch of people.

"Damn Leilani getting with Zion?" some people would say and Zion would turn around and stick his tongue out. I'd hit him and had to repeatedly say "No. Don't listen to him". We get to my dorm and I point to the boxes on the floor.
