It's been 2 weeks, and this weekend was dance tryouts. I was super nervous and excited. I had been practicing so much, so I feel kinda prepared. But part of me is still nervous. I decided to wear a black nike sports bra and black leggings to match. While getting all my stuff together I got a facetime call from Zion.
"Hey baby" he says with a tired voice
"Hey. Up late again?" I say
"Yeah. The boys and I have just been working on music non stop. I cant wait for you to hear it" he says
"I can't wait either" I say and I put my hair in a ponytail
"Mm shorty you look good" he says
"Haha thanks. I'm pretty nervous" I say
"Don't worry about it. I know you'll do good" he says
"Thank you, I miss you" I say with a pouty face
"I miss you more" he says "How about I pick you up from the tryouts today?"
"That would be great" I say
"Okay I will princess" he says
"Okay i gotta go now. I love you" I say and kiss the camera
"Love you more, see you later" he says and I hang up the phone.
"Want me to drop you off?" Ava says
"Yes please, cause Zions picking me up after and I don't wanna take my car" I say
"Sounds good" Ava says and she grabs her keys and we go down to the car. Ava noticed how quiet I was being.
"What's up girl? Nervous?" she says
"Yeah. I mean I know i'm prepared but I'm just nervous for the outcome. Like if I make the team" I say
"Girl don't worry. I've seen you dance. You will definitely make it" she says
"Thanks bestie. Also that girl is gonna be there" I say rolling my eyes
"Sammi, oh my gosh" Ava says "Do you want me to stay at the tryouts"
"Nah I got her. If she tries saying something, I'll just try to ignore it. I don't wanna start something that'll jeopardize my chance on the team" I say
"I see I see" she says "Well call me if anything and I'll handle it for you"
"Aight bet" I say. We pull up to the dance studio and girls are walking in.
"Thanks for the ride" I say getting out the car
"Of course. Text me how it goes after!" she says
"Will do" I say and then I walk into the building. I see my two girl friends from class Olivia and Kayla. We started stretching together and talking about the tryout.
"I hear the coaches are pretty chill" Kayla says
"Really? I heard they're hard" Olivia says
"I'm just so nervous. This is one of the reasons why I came to school. Was to dance. It's like my dream" I say and Olivia nods her head
"Same girl" Kayla says. We keep stretching and then Sammi comes it. I roll my eyes and just ignore her and she gives me a dirty look
"What are you looking at?" Sammi says
"Nothing much" I say
"Ugh" she says and she walks away
"What's up with that Sammi girl" Olivia says
