Ava and I had just finished watching a movie and she was asleep as always. I got up to go use the bathroom when I heard a knock at the door. I was pretty scared because it's 1 am at night and they don't let anyone into the building this late at night. I was about to wake Ava up when I looked through the peephole and saw Zion. I rolled my eyes and opened the door.
"We need to talk" he said. I looked around the hall
"Is Sammi here?" I say
"Oh my god, listen Smalls I don't like her. I'm here to explain" he said
"Well i'm tired so if you can start talking that would be great. And how'd you get in here?" I say. He looks into the room and sees Ava.
"A friend who lives here. But is there somewhere we can go that's a little more private" he asks. I rolled my eyes, put my slides on and walked into the hall with him. I didn't feel like leaving the dorm, so I suggested that we go to the hangout/living room space. It's open 24 hours in the dorm. We walked in there and sat on the couch.
"So are you going to talk or am I wasting my time?" I say
"Okay well, whatever she posted on her story, it's not what i seems" he says
"You keep saying that. So what is it?" I say "You know what, I don't even know why I care so much, it's not like we're together or anything" I say and he looks down
"Well I want us to be together" he says
"What was Sammy doing at the house?" I asked
"She's literally so dumb. She left her stupid sweater a whileee ago at my house. Literally when we hooked up which was MONTHS ago. I don't know why she just decided to get it now. Maybe to make you jealous" he says "It was nothing. I promise. I was in the living room when she came, I told her to get it from my room, and she went to get it, that's when she took the picture and she left. And then I didn't know what time I was going to pick you up because, I hate to say you were right, but I really couldn't plan anything in time" he says
I look down and laugh. I feel dumb for thinking something happened. He explained to me before how much he didn't like her. But I still had to be careful.
"I thought that since we didn't...you know..." I say looking down
"You thought I'd hook up with her? Leilani. I told you I'd wait for you. I like you. A lot" he says and he puts his arm around me. I lay my head on his chest.
"Now I know I need a couple days in advance to plan the perfect date" he says laying his head on top of mine.
"I told you you wouldn't be able to plan in hours" I say
"The queen is always right" he says. We watched a little bit of tv in the living room and then 2 am came quick.
"I'll text you in the morning" he says and he hugs me. I walk him out to the door and then go back to my dorm and get ready to sleep.
Next day
...
I wake up to the touch of someone rubbing my arm. It's Zion. I sit up
"What are you doing here? How'd you get in here?" I say rubbing my eyes
"Ava let me in" he says and he kisses my forehead. I smile
"Where is she?" I ask
"She left, she went to hangout with some old friends so we can be together" he says
"I'm tiredddd" I say and go back under the covers. He removes the covers
"Are you serious?" I say
