We can never stay out of trouble can we?

Chapter one

I was gloriously walking round the school, saying hello to children as I walked around and I saw hank with some books in his hand walking somewhere so I decided to join him

"Hank" I called out and he turned his head to me and smiled widely

"Can I walk with you, I'm fed up of just walking around" I said and he nodded at me and we began to walk around the school together, chatting as we went along and then I saw tommy and Amelia causing their usual havoc around the halls so I bid goodbye to hank and then walked over to them

"What have you pair been up to now?" I asked and they both jumped and turned around to see me. They were now 17 years old and they still act like they were 7 again

"Erm nothing" tommy said trying to lie to me but I raised my eyebrows and they both sighed and I gestured for them to walk with me

"Lets go have a chat with your father about this shall we?" I asked and they both groaned and I smirked a little at them and how they've never changed, no matter how older they get. We walked down the stairs and I saw a very familiar face

"Al?" I asked in shock while the kids looked really confused and Alex summers looked up at me and smiled while I ran down the rest of the steps and into his arms

"Hello lyds, look at how much you've grown" he said and I smiled at him

"I could say the same to you" I said and looked at the younger boy beside him who had a bandage over his eyes and  smiled sympathetically at him

"I'm guessing this young man here is Scott" I said and he raised his head a little

"You know my name?" He questioned and I smiled at how alarmed he was

"I've known your brother many years, of course he would have told me about you scott" I said and he nodded and I saw Amelia and tommy try and creep away out the corner of my eye

"You pair back here now" I ordered and they put their heads down in defeat and walked over to me

"Al, Scott, these are my kids, Amelia and tommy" I introduced them and Alex shook their hands and Scott said a timid hi ad he couldn't see them

"I'll tell you what kids, if you help out Scott here once we've got him sorted and get him comfortable here, your dad won't hear a word about what happened earlier today" I said and stuck out both of my hands and they both shook it and smiled at me and Alex chuckled at me

"Who knew you would be such a great mom" Alex said and I smacked his arm lightly and he chuckled

"Anyways, where's the professor?" He asked and I began walking to where I knew Charles would be teaching today, Amelia helping lead Scott and her, Scott and tommy talking lightly and getting to know him and I smiled at them and then Alex came to my side

"So it looks  kids and my brother are getting along" he observed and I nodded

"Amelia and tommy need a few more friends, they have a nice girl called jean grey that Amelia is best friends with but it's just normally those three, there a lot like me when I was at the CIA lab, quiet and unsocial" I said and he nodded and we turned around the corner and saw Charles with children around him and then he noticed me and Alex and smiled and dismissed his class as we walked forward

"Alex, it's good to see you" he said and hugged him

"You too" Alex replied to him and also leaned into the hug while I smiled at him and I saw Amelia stood by me and Scott and tommy still talking

"You look well, it's been a while" Charles said snd Alex nodded 

"Yes, not to bad yourself" he said moving back to grip Scott's other shoulder and I smiled lightly at them

"This is my brother Scott" he said and I looked at them while Scott looked really awkward and Charles looked intrigued

"Hello Scott, welcome to the school for the gifted" he welcomed him and I smiled at Charles and he smiled back

"Yea, it doesn't exactly feel like a gift" Scott said and Amelia looked at him

"It never does at first" she chimed in and looked at me while I smiled and nodded at her and then Charles decided we would head outside to see Scott's abilities and we saw jean and I nodded at Amelia and she ran over to where she was doing archery and they did their little handshake, which always made me laugh because it reminds me of me and raven. I see her from time to time and she sends me occasional letters and where to send them back to her but we both don't really have the time anymore, with her saving mutants and me helping them control their abilities. There just wasn't enough time in the world

"First step in understanding one's power is learning the extent of it. Only then we can begin the process of teaching you on how to control it" Charles explained to Scott and we came to a stop on the edge of the lake

"If you do decide to stay, We can promise you that by the time that you are done here you'll be able to go back into the world and be able to be your own person again" I explained to Scott softly and he nodded, finding s little comfort

"Why don't you take those bandages off and have a look with what we are dealing with here, Alex do you mind helping him, there is a target just across the water, when you open you eyes try and hit that" Charles destructed snd alex put on his sunglasses while me and tommy moved the other side just for safety and Alex angled him on where he was planning on hitting and Scott started to breathe more visibly to calm him self down

"Open your eyes Scott there's nothing to be afraid of. It's quite-" and then I was cut off by him opening his eyes and he destroyed a little of the grass, the whole target and charles' favourite tree and then he closed his eyes and I smiled widely at Charles who smiled back just as large and then began to chuckle

"My grandfather planted that tree when he was 5 years old, I used to swing from the branches when i was younger myself" Charles explained as it split in half and fell down and I smiled and just lifted my hand and everything was going back to normal and then the tree came together and I covered it with moss so that it would stay together and then I smiled at Charles

"I think that was probably my favourite tree but thank you love for fixing it" Charles said and I just smiled and kissed his cheek lightly

"Does that mean I'm expelled?" Scott asked and I looked at him and laughed lightly

"On the contrary, you're enrolled" Charles said and I nodded and tommy looked happy and strategic to help Scott walk around campus while I smiled at Charles and took him off his breaks and started to wheel him about so that we could have a chat

"So what's on your mind love?" He asked and I looked at Charles and smiled lightly

"It's nothing really" I said snd he looked at me not convinced at all
