We can never stay out of trouble can we?

Chapter five

"You're having a drink?" Charles observed as he saw me have the alcohol

"Yup" I answered simply and he looked at me

"Why? You never drink" he said and I looked at him and raven looked worried

"Well Charles I now am cause I'm going through a difficult time at the moment and the only person I can really talk to about it is raven" I said and he looked at em shocked that I didn't say him and I shrugged my shoulders and he rolled his eyes and looked at raven

"It's good to see you raven, welcome home" he said and I looked at him like he was stupid

"This isn't my home" raven said and looked at him

"It was once" Charles counteracted and looked at her smirking , thinking he'd won

"No it was your home, I just lived here. I barely even recognise it now" raven sighed at him and I coughed so I wouldn't laugh

"He has plans for this place" I said and Charles smiled at me but I just looked at raven and he started to wheel around the desk

"He wants to turn it into a real campus, a university, not just a school for mutants but for humans too, living and working, growing together" I quoted what he said to me a few weeks ago. A plan which I told him was the most stupid idea he had come up with yet as humans will never understand us, let alone work with us

"You know I did believe that once, I really believed that I could change them after dc" raven admitted

"We did" Charles said confidently and I shook my head

"No Charles they still hate and fear us it's just harder to see because they are more polite about it, they got sick of living that life" me and raven said at the same time and then smiled at each other

"That's why you're not in your natural blue form" Charles observed

"We're going to be the face of the world that doesn't exist" I said and Charles looked at me

"Things are better, the world is better" charles said to me

"I believed that too until last night Charles, your world maybe better but mine isn't" I said and s tear fell down my face and he looked at me

"What's that's supposed to mean?" He asked me, his face now held a frown

"Maybe in west Chester, out there mutants are still running, hiding, living in fear. Just because there's not a war doesn't mean there's peace, you want to teach your kids something, teach them that, teach them to fight, otherwise they might as well live in this house for the rest of their lives" raven argued with him

"You still sound just like him, you sound just like Erik" Charles said painfully and I looked at him

"That's why I'm here, he's resurfaced, he had a wife, a child who were killed" raven said, calming down and I gasped and put a hand over my mouth

"Charles we need to find him, he must be broken. Me or raven will talk to him" I suggested and he looked at me

"Last time you tried to talk to Erik, he nearly killed you and raven" Charles said and I walked towards him and out my hands either side of his wheelchair

"If you still have any love left for me and you trust me with that love then you'll trust me now" I said and he looked at me

"So this is what all your behaviour is about? Moira being here? We already talked about this Lydia" he said and I looked at him

"Yea we did,p it you still had to say what you said in cerebro about checking her out yesterday didn't you?" I ask3 and he looked at me really guilty and I lifted myself off and went next to raven

"The whole world will be looking for him" Charles observed

"But you can help me find him before they do" raven counteracted and then we walked down to cerebro with moira, hank and Alex following behind us and I walked next to Charles

"Does she have to come with us?" I asked raven and Charles smacked my leg and I looked at him and rolled my eyes

"Charles said it was for her safety" raven said emotionless and then laughed a little and so did I

"Will both of you stop it please?" Charles asked and me and raven looked at each other and smiled

"Nah" we both said at the same time and laughed as we reached cerebro and the doors opened and Charles wheeled in, then it was hank in, then me and raven with our arms linked like we were 12 and then Alex was behind us and then lastly moira

"Moira, Im going to have to ask you to keep this a secret" Charles said

"I don't even know what this is" moira said confused and I rolled my eyes

"It's cerebro" I said in a duh voice and looked at Charles when he suddenly pulled me down to his level

"Stop" he whispered and I looked at him

"Why should I Charles? She's getting on my nerves now" I said and he then sighed but grabbed my chin and then kissed me softly and I smiled when we pulled away

"Remember its only you, not moira or anybody else okay Lydia?" He said and I nodded smiling while I saw moira glare at me out of the corner of my eye

"The new model?" raven asked hank and he nodded

"Yea I basically I based the colour on..." he didn't continue and looked at raven as my jaw dropped as it all now made sense, the colour was based off her natural blue form. Charles looked up at me and smirked while I tried not to laugh at my best friend

"It doesn't matter" hank dismissed and I looked at raven and she knew what he meant and smiled widely at him and then Charles put in the helmet and the lights began to dim as cerebro turned on and we was taken into the world as moira jumped a bit

"What are those?" Moira asked pointing at the white lights

"They are humans" and then then the lights turned red

"And these are all the mutants, I'm connected to all their minds" he said proudly and I smiled at them all even though they couldn't see me

"Wow" moira said amazed and I glared at her as I knew what she was thinking

"The CIA would kill for this" moira commented and I looked at her sharply

"I know they would" me and Charles muttered and Charles grabbed my hand to stop me from saying something that was true but couldn't be said as it would be a little offensive but no one else said anything as Charles searches for Erik as we were looking all around the world for him as we didn't have a clue of where he could be in the world but then we found his little light and saw that he had some weird sort of ancient Egyptian armour on which actually looked quite nice
