"Hey, uh Rosie" "oh hey.....person who hasn't politely given me their name yet" she smirked at Peter, "I'm really sorry that was rude of me, can we start again?" There was a silence that became slightly uncomfortable, "Hi, I'm Rosa Thomas but my friends call me Rosie, so I guess you'll call me Rosie" she held her hand out smiling, "Hi, I'm Peter Lancaster, and I guess I will, nice to meet you Rosie" the last part he said in almost whisper, close enough to her ear to cause goose bumps, "nice to meet you, Peter" she replied, Abel came into the yard, with a hay bale, "who's this English twat?" "You're English as well A-hole!"

"Boys! Abel this is Peter, he's not a twat he's my friend, Peter this is Abel, he is not an A-hole, he is also my friend, my best friend, so be nice both of you!.......please?" They both looked at her, how could they not agree her beautiful angel like smile clouded their judgements, she was beautiful and Peter found himself caring about her, caring to much, "Okay, for you Rosie" Rosie blushed looking at Peter, "I guess I can play nice, although I'm a bit of a bitter" Abel smirked "is he always this weird?" "He's Abel" "ah, he has his own definition, makes sense" "well if you'll excuse me, I have to feed the horses, see you later Rosie, you too city boy" "bye, see you" Rosie waved him away,

"so Rosa-Rosie, what are you doing today?" "Well I have no new guests since you guys are here so I guess not much, why?" "Well I've never been here, so I was thinking I needed someone to show me around, someone who knows the place?" She giggled at his failed attempt "sure, let me go get changed first, to much mud to go out in" she laughed, walked inside he saw for the first time a genuine smile from her, really since they'd been here for half a week her smiles were non genuine.

She put them on but recently they'd talked a lot and she'd opened up more to him the first thing she said to him made him double over laughing, "just so we're Clear, you better not be a virgin English private school prick looking to get laid to brag to all his friends how how stole some country girls innocence!" "What the actual hell do you read?!" Peter found himself laughing even when he thought back to this her response was even better, "well, my mother told me it's how all the boys my age In England behave" "dear god, what does she say about the girls?" "Whores, the lot of them" Peters laughter was sweet and giddish like a child's, "look honestly, that's not me or the people I know I promise".

Peters thoughts were interrupted by Rosie appearing out of her house, she was dressed in a cute short midriff like shirt that was collared, button up and baby blue with a bird Pattern on it and some lightly coloured denim shorts and boots, she had a cardigan since it was cool, to be honest peter usually saw girls dress sexily in the underground or in the city he wasn't used to just normal clothing but he liked it, "stop gawking and let's go!" Rosie laughed as she grabbed his hand pulling him along. "So what do you want to see?" Rosie looked back at him smiling but her face was baring into him really thinking, "just show me you, your town, the places you like to go, things you like to do" "why? even though we barely know each other why are you suddenly interested in me?" "Why are you so interested in showing me around?"

"You dodged my question!" "Yeah well you dodged mine" they both walked down the lane, Peter every so often tripping on the uneven ground, he was glad he had Rosie there to catch him or let him fall sort of before helping him, she would always laugh, then apologise for laughing, which he found cute, Then she would blush and sprint ahead, Rosie seemed to know more about the town then he thought even though she lived there she didn't seem like the type to leave her house, boy was he wrong, "so this is somewhere you might enjoy- what? What's wrong?" "I want to see what you enjoy Rosie" "I-Okay, so I really like-" she stopped mid sentence, "Rosie what's wrong?" "I-I can't" "Rosie?" "I don't go to high school anymore" she spoke in almost a whisper,

"those girls take whatever is different about someone and they make fun of it, they bully people, to the point of-" she stopped again and hid behind peter gripping the back of his shirt, he'd never seen her like this, afraid, these girls whatever they did to her, she was afraid of them, she was scared, he could feel her slowly shaking, no trembling was the word he was searching for. Then out of nowhere she stopped and stood up still behind him but she was trying, "if isn't "Rosie posie" and let me give you some advice cutie don't hang out with the weirdo slut" "sorry ladies but my "girlfriend" and I are enjoying our date so if you'll excuse me" Peter took Rosie's hand and walked away pulling her past the girls shocked faces, "what was that? Girlfriend??" "Sorry it was the first thing that came to mind, it worked didn't it?" Peter laughed "I guess so" Rosie replied although she didn't seem sure, "I hope one day, it's not just an excuse though" Peter said before blushing and turning away, Rosie had noticed whenever he was nervous or really focused he rubbed the ring on his finger, she didn't know it's significance,
