Jaya

"Where the hell are they?" I ask, looking down at my bare wrist, why do I always act like I wear a watch...?

Everyone shrugs in response, causing me to groan, "maybe they got lost or murdered each other, I'll go see if they need any help," I stand up from my seat, making my way towards the food court, only to find a long queue. Damn...

I look around, trying to spot the two idiots only to find them deep in conversation, Dallas looked a little upset while Dylan was listening, well they bonded...

I tried stepping closer, trying to listen to their conversation, without being spotted, so I stood around a few people that were in the queue, using them as my shield.

"She needed a friend, a safe house and I wanted to be there for her no matter what, even if that meant just being her friend. I wanted so bad to be selfish for once, but you know, I just couldn't do it, I didn't wanna destroy what we had, have, I didn't wanna destroy her," Dallas tells, his eyes not meeting Dylan's, rather he stare of into the corner.

What's he on about?

Dylan frowns, "Damn that must've been hard. But I can see where you're coming from, I'm sorry for pushing you man," what are they talking about??

"This conversation stays between you and me, she can never find out," Dallas warns, his eyes finally meeting Dylan who slowly nods and answers, "don't worry, I won't be saying anything."

I stared at them confused, trying to puzzle together an answer, only to be left more confused, who were they talking about? what about Millie?

I quickly step away from the queue, making my way back to the bowling ally, my head filled with unanswered questions.

"Hey? Hello?" Millie snaps her fingers in front from my face, snapping me out of my daze, looking around I realise I made it back to the group, she continues, "did you find them?"

After a pause I answer, "uh eh- yeah I did, they're stuck in the queue," they groan and nod, sitting back down around the booth.

I stay standing up, "why don't we just get lunch, don't really feel like playing anymore and I'm kinda hungry," I suggest.

I stare at them as they think, then finally nodded, "you know what, we should just," Sarah says, looking around for her bag.

Kris stands up, putting his cap on and getting his phone out, "I'll let the boys know,"

"Here," Millie hands me my bag, I quickly take it, throwing it across my body.

After a few minutes, I notice Dallas and Dylan walking towards us, "what happening?" Dallas asks, staring at us, "everything okay?"

Everyone nods, I speak up, "yeah, thought since it's already getting a little late, we might as well just get lunch,"

They nod and approval, so we change our shoes, heading back to the car park, I stay behind the group, following them behind quietly.

"Did we lose Jay?" I hear Dallas ask as he turns his head around, looking for me until he stops me, "hello Jaya to world? You okay back there?"

I snap out of my daze to find everyone turned around staring at me in confusion and a little concern, I pretend to think more, "I'm thinking, shall I get a burger or a wrap,"

They all sigh and groan turning around while muttering to themselves about how done they are with me, expect Dylan who was staring at me, almost trying to figure me out.
