The 'Pumpkin Spice' ice cream was rather tasty, though I didn't eat it fast. Only reason: Mahiru.
I'd just eat it slowly. Though I stopped when I saw Mahiru wasn't eating her ice cream at all.

"Are you ok?" I'd ask. "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm just not used... to eating with someone."

"What do you mean by that?" "Oh someone like YOU wouldn't understand." I feel bad for her. Even if I haven't eaten ice cream with someone too, I probably wouldn't understand her problem. Mahiru would look up. "Well I mean, you'd understand about... mothers being gone.. right?" Mothers being gone? I guess I understand that. I'd slightly tilt my head. "Well... it's just. I've barely..." She'd look outside. "I've barely seen my mother in my life. I've been left with dad and... well, I've been left with all the chores.. hah." "Left with.. dad?" "Yeah. Sound familiar to you, doesn't it?" "I guess.. I mean my dad is out of town this week so.." "That explains why you're here." "I suppose." "Also knowing my dad doesn't... have a lot of money.." She'd look up. "Never-mind that." "Are you sure you don't want to talk about it?" "Yes I'm sure!" She'd finally eat some of her ice cream. I'd continue as well.
"Oh.. by the way, are you going to Ibuki's concert?" "Ibuki's.... concert?" "Yeah.. are you going?" "I guess. I didn't know she had a concert. I should ask Hiyoko if she wants to go."
I'd finish up my ice cream, and so would she.
"You're a fast eater.." I'd look at her paper bowl as it was surprisingly empty. "What? You don't expect females to be fast eaters? I was hungry!" "Well I was hungry too and.." "Whatever- heeeey the view looks nice!" She'd drag me as I picked up the two bowls. On our way out, I threw them out. She'd lead me to a bench near the beach.
"Isn't it lovely?" She'd point to the ocean. "Yeah, it is!" We'd sit down on the wooden bench. I didn't really know what to talk about with her. Mahiru and I never really hang out. And know that she has high expectations of men, it's hard to keep her in her friendly side.
"This would be a nice place to take Sonia." "Mahiru- What the-" "You should treat her like a queen when you get her. Every female deserves it." "Why of course!" "Though.. there's something else going on.." "What might that be?"
Mahiru looked down.
"Well... all I know is that Hiyoko is planning something." "Hiyoko?" "Yeah. I can't tell you all of it cause I don't know all of it. But if anything, I'd save your chance to be with Sonia." "Wait.. why did you bring up Hiyoko's plan anyways?" "Well... she's doing a deal with someone.. to keep you away from Sonia." "Wait What?" "Oh- all I know is that she's doing a deal with a FEMALE!" "Female?" "Yeah. That's all I know." "Well.. thanks for that." "I just don't want anymore trouble." She'd look back at the beach. "This talk never happened." "What?" "Just pretend it never happened!"
