Clarke wakes up the the sounds of grunting and screaming coming from beside her. Slowly blinking her eyes open, she turns to find the source of the noise. She finds Lexa staring at her iPad with intent. "I'm hoping you're watching porn and not birthing videos"

"I want to see what will happen when you give birth. Do you think a c section is the best route? Because the thought of this happening to you makes me queasy" Lexa turns to face her as she spoke.

"Are you sure it's not the shorter recovery time?"

"That a bonus" Lexa smiled. "We need to find the best OBGYN on the Eastern hemisphere. I'm taking no chances on my little princess. She only gets the best. Oh, I told Indra we need to hire a nutritionist. They'll make sure you have all the nutrition you need so we'll have the healthiest baby girl in the world" Lexa paused, beaming."Aden will be the best big brother too. I'll make sure to schedule at least 3 hours a week where it's just us: Aden, our little princess, and me. You're welcome to join too. It's going to be amazing"

Clarke just stared as she rambled, patiently waiting for her to finish. "Are you done?" Her wife nodded, pushing the iPad to the side and adjusting herself to come face to face with her wife." It makes me so happy how excited you are, but remember he or she is our little secret"

"I know but we're having a baby, Clarke" Naturally, Lexa's hands found there way to Clarke's stomach as she pulled her in for a kiss. "That's my little girl in there. I just know it" Clarke hummed, pushing Lexa's glasses back up to her face with a smile. "I can't wait to tell people"

"Well, you still can tell your dad and my mom will figure it out soon enough so you might as well beat her to the punch. So who do you want to tell first?"

"Give me one second" Lexa slid out of bed and ran out of the room. Clarke could hear Lexa shuffling around Aden's room on the baby monitor. "Morning buddy" The blonde could hear their son babbling in response. "Let's go see mommy" It was not long before the pair made their way back to Clarke. Aden was snuggled in Lexa's neck, still waking up. "This is the first person I want to tell" Lexa laid Aden between the to of them, turning him to face Clarke.

"Hey, little man" That got Aden to smile immediately, crawling on top of Clarke and laying his head on her chest.

"You just ditch me once you see her now. I see how it is" Aden closed his eyes immediately once Clarke started rubbing his back.

"Did you wake him up?"

"That's one possibility. Or he's so excited about his baby sister that he can't sleep"

"Who did you send to pick up my mom? We could've gone ourselves"

"Nope, you're not leaving this bed until I get the okay from your mom" Lexa shook her head immediately.

"I can't take you seriously when your curled up against me like this" Lexa was laying against her chest as Clarke combed her fingers through her hair.

"I like being close to the baby" Clarke hummed, her mind empty except for the baby growing inside her, Aden, and Lexa."This baby is different than Aden. Not because she's biologically our or the next heir to the throne"

"Then why?" Clarke replies, crooning her head to get a better look at Lexa, curious to what her wife was thinking.

"Aden was 6 months when we got him, but this baby will be with us from start to finish. Fresh out of the oven and thrown into our laps. That baby in the birthing video was helpless,Clarke. I mean seriously, compared to animals, humans babies are pathetic. And I feel anxious and nervous because we have to turn that helpless, pathetic thing into a functioning member of society" Lexa ranted as her wife watch full of mirth.
