Maya's POV
It had been over an hour since Dr.Grey removed the breathing tube and Andy was still not awake. I moved closer to her, and squeezed her hand, quietly saying
"Please be okay, Andy just be okay and wake up" I paused "what's my motto?" I asked knowing she wouldn't answer. As I closed my eyes and begin to tell my self that she will wake up. Then I heard the faintest
"Embrace the pain,"
At first, I thought it was someone else, but then I felt a gentle squeeze in my hand.
Andy's POV
It felt like waking up from a really good nap, one where you're so tired you don't even dream. All at once everything was back. That was when I heard Maya
"whats my Motto?"
I tried my hardest to make myself as audible as possible, but I was still really quite in saying
"Embrace the pain"
Maya didn't react, and I thought maybe she didn't hear me so I squeezed her hand.
Maya's POV
I instantly turned my whole body towards her; shifting my leg causing me to "mon" in pain
Jack quickly came to my side and asked: "are you okay?"
"I'm fine Jack I just moved My leg a little, but I think is Andy is waking up" I responded
"Andy?" I said hoping she was really there
"Maya" she spoke quietly
"you're alive," I said as a smile grew on my face
"I think so" she responded in her typical Andy humor, were you can't really tell if she's joking or being serious
After a little while of everyone talking to Andy, Dr.Grey walked in.
"your awake" Dr.Grey said to Andy
"yah, they were all losing their minds without me," Andy said laughing
"how are you feeling?" Dr.Grey asked
"Like I got hit by a Truck" Andy responded
"well we did have to remove your spleen and repair your kidneys, Dr.Link had to place an x-fix on your leg so that it can heal and reset your knee due to it being dislocated" Dr. Grey added
Not to long later and Dr.Link stop by to tell me I had to go back to my room. It was getting late and some of the crew had to go home. They guys lifted me back into my bed before leaving. Pruitt was going to stay with Andy so Jack stayed with Me. Vic also stayed so she could go from my room to Andy's.
