Maya's POV
We talked with Emmy, she was super sweet. I would not have thought that just hours before that she almost died in a fire. We never get to see how it ends up, we never get to meet the people we save. I know it's for the better that we don't know who lives or dies but it was kinda nice getting to know Emmy.
"Can I come sit by you?" Emmy asked me
"sure" I answered. Jack helped Emmy onto my bed as I made room for her.
"so, Emmy what do you want to e when you grow up?" Andy asked
"Well, Yesterday I would have thought I wanted to be a teacher, but now I think I want to be a firefight like all of you," she said
Hearing her say that made my heart sing. It feels so good inspiring kids to be firefighters, especially girls.
