Sophia's Pov.

"Where are we going anyways?" I found myself asking. Jacob was driving around for a few minutes now and I'm starting to think that we must be lost.

"You'll see when we get there" he responded to my question before making a left turn then stopped at the red traffic light that we were approaching.

Laying back, I let out a sigh as my eyes went to the window. The place was quite quiet tonight. The only sounds that could've been heard were the sound of traffic and the still wind that blew by every once in a while, shaking the tall tress leaves as the blew by.

The lonely streets were lit up by street lights as pass byers dare not walked through them. Where I live right now is known to have a lot of gangs and I'm sure that's why there aren't a lot of people out after dark and I understand why. I would be afarid myself to be out after dark.

But right now, my mind wasn't really focused on the streets or the people or how lonely the roads looked. My mind was running wild at all the thoughts that were flying through my head. What thoughts you asked?

Does Jacob likes me too?

Where is he taking me?

Will he confess to me?

Should I confess to him?

Yes, thoughts like these. These thoughts have been flying around in my head for a few days now. You can't blame me though because he treats me better than before. He's more caring, polite and......loving?

And because of that I couldn't help but think about those thoughts. I wanna know, I need to know so I could either get over it or confess too. I didn't care what happened, all I wanted to the truth.

"What are you thinking about?" Jacob's voice was suddenly heard and it pulled me out from my thoughts, back to earth.

"Oh....umm....nothing" I stammered a little as I looked over to him. The traffic light finally turned green and Jacob drove off again not before glancing over to me.

"If you say so" he said as he give me a suspicious look then turned his focus back to the road. "Anyways....I've got you a birthday present" he continued and I looked over to him, waiting to see what he had in store for me.

"What is it?"

"Here." He simply said before digging into his pocket with one of his hands, while the other was on the staring wheel. He took out a little box from his pocket before passing it to me.

"What's inside?" I questioned after I took it from him. I shook the box to try and figure out what was inside but barely heard any sound.

"Why don't you open it" Jacob suggested and I nodded my head before taking off the gift wrap around it. Now opening the cover, I looked inside and my mouth instantly dropped open in shocked as I stared down at a glittering diamond necklace.

"J--Jacob...." I trailed off as I carefully took it out from the box to have a closer observation. It was dazzling and so pretty! But it looked so expensive...

"Wow, I never actually thought you'd like it..." I heard him mumbled and I only glanced over to him before my focus went back to the glittering necklace that I was now holding.

"This is.....beautiful!" I exclaimed and a smile found its way to him lips. He stopped at a red light again then turned to me smirking.

"I'm glad you like it." He said and I smiled at him.
