Mena

This was it, the big day.

Day number one of filming Aladdin.

I can't even believe it. I can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm driving towards the studio right now.

Ever since I was little, my favorite Disney movie has always been Aladdin. And now, I get to be the lead role in the live action remake. It's absolutely insane.

When I got to Longcross Studios, my eyes grew wide. It was so huge and enormous. I get out of the car and start walking to set. I'm immediately greeted by the great director, Guy Ritchie.

"Mena, it's so nice to see you again!" He says, greeting me with a quick hug. I hug him back with a smile. "You too, man." I say when we pull back.

"Here, Ben will take you to your trailer to start getting ready for today." He says and I nod. "Alright, thank you." I say as I start leaving, patting his back.

Ben and I say hi to each other and he walks me to my trailer. After a few minutes, I got to my trailer. I thank Ben for taking me here because I had no idea where things where around here.

I notice a woman my age inside of the trailer and she introduces herself. "Hi, I'm Ava. I'll be your makeup and hair artist for the next few months." She says, extending her hand.

I shake her hand and give her a quick smile, "I'm Mena, nice to meet you."

"So, today will be all rehearsals for the dancing. Your dance clothes are here and after getting dressed you can head out outside until the practice starts." She says and I nod.

"Alright, thank you." I say as she dismisses herself from my trailer. I look at the dance gear that was hung by the clothing racks and I change into it. When I'm done getting dressed, I was told to go outside into the main area where all of the cameras, actors, and directors were.

I suddenly see Will talking with Guy, the director. I freak out, not knowing what to do. I mean you don't just casually go up to the Will Smith and introduce yourself, right?

So I go and stand beside Guy while him and Will are talking, hoping that Guy will break the ice and introduce me to him since he's the director. But he doesn't, so I say hi to Will myself.

"Hi, Will!" I say and he smiles. "Hey, man." He says and after a few seconds, I leave.

Great, now he thinks I'm one of the extra dancers in the movie because I didn't say my name.

Good one, Mena.

When they stop talking and Will is alone, I go up to him and actually introduce myself. "Hey, I'm Mena." I say and his jaw drops.

"Oh, God, what's up Mena? I didn't recognize you man, I'm sorry!" He says, engulfing me in a big hug. I laugh it off, "No worries, Will."

"In fact, I if I were you, I would think I'm one of the dancers too." I joke and he laughs. "Oh, c'mon, don't say that." He punches me in the shoulder softly.

"It's true! I even have the dance gear and everything!" I laugh. We keep talking for a few more minutes until rehearsal starts.

We start with "Friend Like Me" which was the first song in which Will and I danced. It was so fun learning the choreography, it was upbeat and fresh. Will definitely loved performing this song, it was a blast.

After three hours, we were done rehearsing "Friend Like Me" and we all had a twenty minute break. I decide to get some water because all the dancing made me tired, so I went over to the craft service table.

Once I got myself a cup of water, I suddenly bumped into a figure. I looked up and landed eyes with such a beautiful woman. Then I realized, that's Naomi Scott. That's my co-star.
