Mena

The next morning, I woke up earlier than Naomi. I decided to make us both some breakfast, so I made some pancakes.

After about ten minutes, I hear someone walking to the kitchen. I turn around and see Naomi wearing my clothes. To say she looked precious was an understatement.

"Good morning." She smiled as she sat down in one of the kitchen stools. "Morning to you too." I said, giving her her plate of food.

"Aw, Mena, thank you." She smiled as I served myself a pancake. "It was nothing." I shrugged and we both began to eat.

"So, about today..." I trail off as she takes a sip of her water. We needed to discuss how exactly we were going to get some of her stuff from her house without Jacob noticing.

"Oh, right. Jacob leaves for work at around this hour and comes back to the apartment at four." She explains and I nod.

"So we have a lot of time to go there and pick up your stuff."

"Exactly." She nods.

"Are you...nervous?" I ask her and she thinks for a second.

"Saying I'm nervous is an understatement."

I grab her hand from across the kitchen aisle and she looks up at me, a small smile lingering on her face. "We've got this. You've got this." I say.

"Thank you so much, Mena. For everything."

"That's what I'm here for."

When we get to Jacob's house, I notice Noami could barely breathe. She was way too nervous, she thought Jacob would catch her in her lie. She thought he would hurt her, but she was crazy for thinking that. No one would hurt her, not while I'm around.

"You can do this. Let's go." I say and she sighs. We get out of the car and walk up the doorsteps. She opens the door and we notice Jacob wasn't home.

She quickly went up to her room to grab some of her stuff so that she can stay at my place until we figure this mess out. I told her I was going to wait by the door, in case anything happened.

A few minutes later, she walked down the stairs with a bag in her arm. She breathes, "Alright, let's go." She says.

"C'mon, we'll call him from the car." I say and she nods.

We get out of the house and into the car once again. She grabs her phone and dials his number. "Don't be nervous. Just tell him what we rehearsed." I told her and she nodded.

After a few rings, he answers. It was on speaker, so I could hear everything.

"Hello?" He says.

"Hey, Jacob?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm gonna be away for a few days. We're going to be shooting some overnight scenes for the movie, and you know Guy, the director, he asked us to stay on set for a few days until those scenes were perfected." She says without a problem. I smile at her reassuringly.

"Uhm, okay. If you're not back on Thursday, then I might just have to give you extra bruises." He chuckles.

"Yes." She mumbles.

I quickly grab the phone and I'm about to put this piece of trash in his place but Naomi quickly stops me.

"And you better not be lying to me, bitch." He says.

It takes all strength in me not to curse this guy out. I look at Naomi as if she was crazy, and she shakes her head. "Don't." She mouths to me.

"I'm not. I'll see you soon." She says, wanting to end the conversation as soon as possible. He doesn't even say goodbye, he just hangs up in her face.

"Naomi, it's like this everyday? I can't fucking believe that piece of shit, he's such a fucking asshole, I swear when I see him I'm gonna b-"

"You won't do anything. Promise me." She grabs ahold of my arm and my face softens.

"Fine, I won't. But the police will. We need to turn him in, Naomi. I know you're scared, but absolutely no one will treat you like this. You hear me?" The veins in my neck were practically popping, I was furious with this guy.

"Yes," She says and I sigh.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so angry at him." I say.

"It's okay, Mena. I'm not scared of him anymore. We'll get him." She says.

"Good, because you don't deserve any of this."
