"You like him." Ela said as we stood outside of school, in between her jeep/truck and her Dad's car.  "Stop saying that." I groaned and she laughed as her Mr. Thompson rolled down his window.  "Hail, you up for the game on Friday?" he asked and I nodded.  "Yep, as ready as I can be." I told him and he laughed, stepping out of his car and locking the door.

"Kayla, are you coming home after school?" He asked his daughter and she shook her head. "No, Maya and I are going to study and practise our cheers at her house." Her Dad nodded and then headed into the school.

"You should really be a cheerleader, you're great." Ela told me and I rolled my eyes,  "How can I cheer when I have to play?" I asked and she shrugged, her beautiful brown locks moving,  "Multitask?"

"Hey guys!" Maya Wheeler, Ela's best friend chirped.  "Hey My." We both smiled and she leaned up against Ela's car.  She was wearing high waisted leather shorts and a white crop top and white chuck T's.

I was wearing light wash acid shorts and a white crop top that had 'NERD' written on it in black paired with black chuck T's.  My brown hair with light brown ombré was just over both my shoulders and I had a brown leather satchel over my shoulder. I had on a bit of mascara on and my long nails weren't painted.

Since I was sat on top of Mr. Thompson's car I took a picture of Maya and Ela who were posing next to each other.  Ela had one arm wrapped around Maya's waist while the other was holding up two fingers, while Maya had one arm wrapped around Ela's shoulder and the other on her lips with only one finger out...

Then they took a picture of me and I stuck my tongue out and put up my middle finger.  Ela laughed as she posted it online. I jumped down off the car just as the bell rang and everyone rushed in. Ela was in between Maya and I as we walked through the school doors, heading for our lockers.

Blaze was already at his locker when we got there,  "Hey Blay!" They both chirped when they saw him and he took his head out of his locker and smiled, nodding his head at them. I smiled at my brother before opening my locker and taking out my books while Ela and Maya went to their own lockers.

I took out my AP Literature books and held them in my arms, putting my satchel in to locker before closing it just as I was pushed to the ground.  I took a deep breath, as my books fell out of my arms and my head hit some lockers.

I saw Blaze trying to pick up my books but someone hit him in the stomach and he crouched down, holding his stomach.  I let out a sigh and stood up only to come face to face with Harry, just another Jock.

"Hey loser, I didn't do my Calculus homework, any chance you'd do it for me?" He asked and I glared at him so he took a step forward, trapping me in between him and the row of lockers.  "No." I mumbled and his eyes narrowed, "Okay let me rephrase that. Do my calculus homework for me." He demanded and I sighed.

"Harry, I'm not in your calculus class." I told him and he brought his face closer to mine,  "I don't care. Just do it." His breath fanned my face and I pushed him away from me but he just caught my wrists with his hands.

"Ooh, feisty." He chuckled as the tardy bell rang. "See you later." He rolled his eyes, looking down to my chest and I hit him as hard as I could in this situation and his eyes found mine as he smirked, letting my wrists go.

I watched him and his friends leave as I rubbed my wrists and looked over at Blaze who was picking up our books.  "Blaze." I called and he shook his head, bending down to pick up the fourth and final book.

"Blaze, you could've just left me." I told him and he whirled around, giving me a look.  "Okay." I sighed, taking my books out of his hands as we walked to our AP Literature class. When we got there I nodded at Blaze who opened the door and I walked in behind him.
