The Blind Marriage

Chapter 4

Dianfa pov

I stood frozen for a moment, one word went through my mind like a mantra 'shit' He took a glance at me then smiled "Ah Mengrui is home, I need to speak to him"

I tensed up at him mentioning Mengrui before I stuttered out "n..no actually, he's at work"

he frowned at me "why do you have Xing and one of Mengrui's bags"

Before I could answer Mother Kong pulled her husband through the door "oh I'm sorry Xiao Dong, you said you were busy and my husband here is keeping you back, go on don't let us keep you, I wouldn't want you getting into trouble, be safe"

I take Xiao Xing back with a sweet smile and small bow I take my leave, exiting as fast as possible

as I made my way down the steps I froze at the words I just about heard as the door closed "seven days, tell Mengrui seven days" I turned towards the door and frowned before walking off home shaking my head, I gently put Xing and held his lead that mother Xing has attached while I was putting my shoes on

Shuanghui's POV

my father walked out after telling me the consequences if I didn't behave, I rested my elbows on the table and my head in my hands, I guess I could wait till my desert arrived before I left

after about 5 minutes a young boy walked over setting an Apple Pie in front of me before he took the seat opposite where my father sat, I took a glance up at him, at his deep brown eyes, he had a small smile on his face "Tough night" he said kindly, his voice was sweet, I looked back down at the pie it also had some ice cream on

"A bit, going to be long one week" I replied with a sigh,

he tapped his finger near the plate "enjoy, I'll get you a much-needed drink" he paused for a moment "Whiskey? with coke, it is a cafe I have to be subtle with alcohol" he let out a small chuckle before getting up and walked away

I lifted my head and watched him with a confused look before digging into my pie, he passed a class beside me before walking away again, I picked it up taking a sit before looking over at the counter with a smirk on my face "it is whiskey" I said quietly

after finishing the pie and drink I got up to go pay then headed home, I flopped down onto my bed and played some music letting out a deep sigh, I closed my eyes and just let my mind wander about the marriage and my bike

Mengrui's POV

I watched the man walk out, after the shouting and sat there the way he was he looked like he needed a drink, when he didn't decline I shrugged to myself and got it him, he looked as bad as I felt.

A few hours had passed and the cafe remained quiet, so I decided I was going home early, well home meaning I was going to go to Diana's and see my Xiao Xing

I got to Diana's house knocked on the door, and to no surprise, his sister answered and practically tackled me to the floor, she was about the same height as me most certainly taller when wearing heels, she had long dark brown wavy hair that hung loose past her shoulders and dark piercing brown eyes "hello to you to Shuying" I said with a groan

"Shuying get off him," Dianfa said with a huff pulling her up off me, I pushed myself up off the floor with a slight frown and a sigh

Dianfa looked at me with a sad expression on his face "what?" I said in a questioning tone

Dianfa pushed his sister inside "let's talk inside" he said and lead me indoors, I waved and slightly bowed to Diana's mother and to Fu and Chao who is Diana's younger siblings, they are twins and only 7 years old, I smile before following Dianfa upstairs
