4 - the walk home

note/s : i'm happy af— they moved the first day of school to august. i live in the pacific ring of fire and usually school starts at june so.. expect lots and lots of chapters! (see end of chapter for word count and the headcanon)  alsooo lee has a reputation that he fought a guy that slept with his girlfriend in the 90s and won. he suddenly has a reputation since clementine does, but he isn't a teacher at ericsons

Clementine

Clementine finished her classes and she headed out of her last class, but first; she went to fetch her stuff from the lockers, shoving hastily in her bag. She opened her locker and filled her bag, she closed her locker shut, locking it with her combination and was about to walk away home, until she heard a cough behind her. She turned around to see someone she never met

"I recommend staying away from the dreadlock boy," She spat, her tone wasn't really a friendly one, Clementine folded her arms "Oh, why so?" The girl squinted, "Well.. you'll see tomorrow." She then walked away without a word. Clementine's eyebrows pressed together, she shrugged before walking away

Clementine stared at the clock on the wall, 2:30. Lee was definitely not picking her up since he leaves work late today, so does Carley. She figured it was best to walk home alone, since AJ was probably at home, alone. She didn't want to make his brother late.

Clementine headed out of the hallway, which was still swarmed in students leaving the premises, and somewhere else. Clementine managed to squeeze through the hallway and out of the school, Clementine looked at the school one last time, before walking in the pavement of the sidewalk

Clementine heard a car beep infront of her "Hey Clem!" Clementine looked at the driver's seat, it was Javier García "Hey Javi, how's it going?" Javi laughed "It's going smoothly, but have you seen Gabe and Mariana?" Clementine shook her head "No, I think Gabe and Mariana are still in there. I can't let AJ wait so i'm walking alone"

Javi nodded  "Okay, I'll tell Gabe that I saw you" Clementine rolled her eyes "Okay Javi, do whatever" Clementine said, waving before walking away, towards the direction of her house. Clementine could've ran home and get there under a few minutes but she didn't have energy for that right now

Clementine felt her shoulders tense, as she felt a hand on them "Oh hey, Clemmy clou" He winked, Clementine scoffed at the nickname "So when are you going to stop calling me that?" She laughed "When I find a nickname personal so I can poke fun at you" Clementine gave him a stern look, but then shrugged.

"Looks like you have no one to walk with," Clementine rolled her eyes "So?" Louis rested his heart on his left side "I'm asking to walk with you?" Clementine blinked, then blinked again "Oh— You aren't walking with Marlon?" Louis shook his head "He has practices, and Violet always walks with Minerva and Sophie" Clementine squinted at the unfamiliar mentions "Sophie?"

Louis laughed "Minerva's twin sister, she's absent today because of the flu. But I think she'll be back by tomorrow or the day after tomorrow." Clementine slowly nodded, hoping Sophie would be as cool as Minerva, her twin.

Clementine looked at the obnoxiously large clock on the brick wall, which was near the school, it flashed 2:45  "Okay, lets go" Louis smiled, walking beside Clementine

"Oh, Did you know that there's a ice cream shop near by?" Louis pointed near her neighbourhood, Clementine wondered if it was best to let AJ alone. But again, getting ice cream only takes a few minutes. Clementine only replied with a nod "Why not?"

Louis took Clementine by the wrist and dragged her to the direction of said ice cream shop. Clementine nervously laughed at the contact, her eyes widened when seeing the cute little ice cream shop. Louis opened the door for Clementine, like a gentleman and waited for Clementine to enter, Clementine only sighed, letting him be a gentleman
