Those three days sure went by like a slap to the face, reality sure is harsh especially with the stress of having to study for those entrance exams

For the majority of that trip, Clem spent in her room focused on one book, and talking to Louis and the others, not really doing anything adventurous

Every now and then Violet would see Clementine snacking on food, but not actually having a genuine meal. Violet offered to give her coffee if she needed any and she took it without blinking away from the paper

Violet wasn't even sure where this university, or college was for her to not speak to anyone or even take care of herself, was it that hard to get into this college? She'll probably never know

Heck, Clementine could probably get in with a scholarship due to how great her grades are.

She figured if she couldn't snap Clem out, then maybe Louis can, so she approached him with her key in hand "I want you to spend time with Clementine"

Louis blinked, he wanted to, but did he want to be a nuisance to her studies "You sure she wants to be bothered right now? I mean, this entrance exam means a lot to her."

"Did I stutter?" Violet asks, glaring at him while crossing her arms, Louis nervously laughs "Of course Violet, I'll spend time with Clemmy Clou."

Violet smiles, before walking away to Minerva

Clementine was in the brink of another breakdown, a existential crisis, anything. She was scanning a problem that was on the notes that would most likely pop up on the exam

"Funny, My mind cannot seem to comprehend the difficulty of these problems." Clementine pondered out loud "Fuck, this will be the end of me."

Louis clutches the key in his hand, before heading upstairs to her dorm. He twists the door knob with Violet's key— and enters in with a cheerful tone

"Clem~" He calls out, Clementine was sitting on a desk, slouched down— cans of coffee were surrounding the side of the table, with study material scattered everywhere.

She turns back, a small smile on her face, except it looked forced "Hi Louis."

"Anything wrong?" He asks, sitting on the side of Clem's bed, she shakes her head as she runs her hand through her curls "Everything is fine Louis, i'm just stressed."

She sniffs, as she wipes her face with her sweater sleeve, as she continues to concentrate on her book "Violet told me to spend time with you."

She chuckles "She did?" Louis nods, He stands up to check on her, her golden eyes were glossy like glass- filled with fresh tears

"Woah- you told me there was nothing wrong?" He asks, worried— he sets a hand on her shoulder "Yes, there is nothing wrong. I'm just worried if i'll even pass."

Louis frowns "Clem, besides Aasim, Omar and Ruby— you're probably the smartest girl I know, it'll be rigged if you don't pass."

She looks down "Yeah but, if I don't, Can I even live with myself for failing?" Louis wraps his arms around her small figure

"Look, I bet 100% you'll pass." He reassures her, but a fresh tear runs down her face, she slouches down on the desk, holding back any more emotions

"Yeah but.. Will I even fit in if I pass?" Louis nods "Definitely, this college will definitely welcome you with open arms."

The pressure of passing seemed too much for the girl, as she didn't say anything. Louis' hands gently held onto her shoulders, rubbing them "Want a massage?"

Clementine doesn't say anything, she nods. Louis grins as he relaxes her very much tensed shoulders, he relieves the tensed joints and it seemed to satisfy her when she sighs in relief

She leans against the chair, having her full trust in Louis' hand, as he only continued to massage her shoulders

Louis glances at the empty cans of coffee, as he heard her stomach grumble. Her faces runs red in embarrassment when Louis chuckles

"Hey, when was the last time you ate?" He asks, "I ate a few hours ago."

"Yeah but, what did you eat?" He asks, it must have not been enough "I ate a piece of apple and that was it."

"How about a proper meal?" He asks, concerned about her wellbeing "I ate a few days ago. Well, a proper meal that is."

He was shocked, He looked at her in the eye "Look Clem, how about I cook you something?" She chuckles "You can cook?"

"Yeah! I used to cook all the time when my mom was out for Miles." He says with pride, she laughs "Sure, go ahead. But you can cook anything since I don't have much to think about."

Louis trots into the mini kitchen, and looks into their fridge— "So there are eggs, vegetables, cooking oil and spices.. Rice, perfect for omelette."

"Say Clem, how about a omelette?" Clem turns at him with a nod "Sure."

He cracks his knuckles as he washes his hands, and the materials in the cup board. He turns on the stove to cook the omelette.

Man, it was something he always wanted to do, make something for her. He'd just hope she'd like it.

He finally made the omelette, and set it aside on her desk, Clem looks at it "So if you or Violet wants more, I placed the extras in the microwave, just heat it up if it's suddenly too cold."

Clementine nods, she looks at the omelette and sees that there was a little heart of ketchup in the side, wow- just like those TV shows

She digs in, Louis praying she'd like the omelette silently, she hums in approval "I like your omelette!" She replies, before taking another bite

Louis chuckles, patting the top of her cap "Well, maybe to relax you can have a bath next?" Clementine looks at him with a neutral look

well— she'd hate to admit it but she hasn't washed her hair in 2 days, so maybe she'd go and do that (no she is not emma chamberlain)

She nods, as Louis hums to go to the washroom to wash his hands

Clementine studies more on the notebook, pondering about what their relationship would turn into— would it be a long distant relationship, since West Virginia and California is across the country.

But thinking about it, she's probably going to attend her senior year somewhere else, or skip senior year entirely since she's so advanced.

She wondered what would happen to them, but she brushed it off aside when Louis enters the same room as her

"Say Louis, what are you doing for senior year? And for college?" She asks, sipping on a glass of water

"Well, they said I could leave next year but honestly, I have no idea what to do for Senior year." He sighs, crossing his legs

"Well, It's fine Louis, I don't know either, what to do for Senior year."

"Well we can be clueless seniors together!" Clementine laughs, still studying her notes

"Thanks Louis."

"For what?"

"You know, cooking, visiting, being here." He smiles

"Don't mention it."

headcanon of the day : in my opinion, i have zero clue on what clem would want to be in the future, but i would like to think she'd be whatever her parents were (a doctor or a engineer) but honestly i don't know!
