Louis could only pray that Clementine would not see what was about to hear who was at the door, after all he has no idea what he'd do. Would he approve or would he slander her?

His dad rests his hand on the frame of the door and smiles ever so artificially "Come on, just for 5 minutes."

His mom pushes him out, "We don't need you here. After what you did to Louis" She folded her arms

Clementine, for some reason stood up to check what was the situation, but lucky enough— Miles was there to distract her. But Clementine was not dumb, she knew there was something.

She cut the conversation short as she gently set Miles to the side as she walked her way to the edge. Miles pleaded with his eyes for her to not go over there, but she couldn't help it.

"What's happening?" She asks Louis from the side, Louis panics— he rushes over to her and rested his hand on her shoulder "Clem- it's nothing. You don't have to worry"

Even though Louis was showing his classic genuine grin- there was a sense of dread in him that pegged her to not ignore it. Her eyes meet the older man's which causes a neutral expression to fall onto her.

The older man doesn't say much, but takes a quick scan of Clementine and replies "You broke up with Sophie? I really liked her." He immediately says that

Louis scoffs, clearly insulted that he liked someone that abused him, and that he insulted her indirectly "I'll have you know that Sophie has been playing with my mind." He furrows his eyebrows in disapproval from his dad's negative reaction

He looks at Clementine once more "She looks so simple, and because of our wealth, how do you know she isn't after our money?"

Louis opens his mouth to speak, but was immediately shot down "Hey, If you're after my son— just know that he doesn't much but that stinky piano. So you can call it quits"

Louis' mom shoves him out of the door, but Clementine signaled her not to, and something just decided to snap in her mind, something she was wanting to say after hearing stories about him from Miles and Louis

"I'll have to say- I take interest in Louis because he's proven that he cared way much than the other people, and the piano was just a bonus. And to the looks of it, It appears that abusers like other abusers." She folds her arms, Miles muffles his laughing as Lauren slams the door and locking it in his face.

Lauren looks down, before walking up to Clementine and holding her hand "Thank you for standing up to Andrew. He's a real prick every moment." Clementine fiddles with her hands as she smiled "It's not a big deal."

Louis nervously stands near her, for once— as he pulls her away to talk to her near a inclosed room.

"Look Clem," He sighs "I'm sorry you had to see him. That was the last thing I wanted today." Louis frowns, Clementine shakes her head

"It's not a big deal, Louis."

"Well, I wouldn't be mad if you wanted to leave." Clementine's expression dropped, she clutches his hand "I don't plan on leaving." She demanded in a certain tone

Louis smiles "I love you, Clem" He blurs out, not a sense of shame was in his face. Her eyes widened— as they twinkle at that expression

"I love you too, goof." She replies, pecking a kiss on his cheek. Louis places his hand behind her back, locking them close

Clementine closes the door, her back leaning against the door as they pressed their lips together— enjoying the taste of their lips, mushing them together. Louis boldly stuck his tongue in, collecting her warmth with it all.

Clementine pulls back, "Maybe later." She winks, before opening the door to eat.

Louis suddenly remembered for some reason about his mom putting condoms in his wallet. It was handy but also embarrassing, so he'd have to hide it better from his little brother.
